Met back up, installed it, and was reimbursed with a $100 that came straight out of freakin' Vince Neil's damn front pocket a mere 3 hours before. Note the crease in the middle -- that's total disrespect to the President (the highest authority figure), even if he did live 400 years ago. Now Benjamin Lincoln looks like he has a fat lip! How Motley is that?!? No doubt a CSI team could isolate some DNA off of it via sweat or skin fibers, and I could have Vince cloned. Or maybe convicted of something if cloning is too expensive.

You know without a doubt this is absolutely Motley Crue money, and I don't know if I should spend it or save it and just look at it every once in a while, contemplating its history. Perhaps right after someone first handed it to Vince, he punched 'em in the face and knocked them the f*** out! You never know! Maybe when I get tired of it I could sell it to some hardcore Motley fan for $1,000 and make a huge profit. What should I do?

Nice story I guess, but there is one glaring error in it. Can anyone point it out?

Well, I went to public school and all, but, to the best of my recollection Franklin wasn't a president. 8)

They would not know them at all. They would refer to them as the old dudes. I guarantee most of my students don't even know who is on the dollar bill, much less a hundred dollar bill.

Tomorrow at skool, ask your students, via silent answer on piece of paper, who the VP is. I bet you less than 10% know it.

I will bet you a Coke.

I won't take that bet, because you are right! It is truly sad. I teach at a school with a high rate of poverty. These kids have no ambition to climb higher than mom or dad. Many are on welfare, parents are drug dealers or addicts, or they are raised on a family farm. They see no use for book larnin. Sad thing, their parents don't encourage them to do any more either. I try hard to show them there is a bigger world out there. I keep hoping to reach some. :(

Ok, then ask 'em how many rounds a 38 carries, or how many grams are in an ounce of pot, or how many ounces are in a pound of weed. I bet you they all know what number Kobe Bryant wears though. Or how many gold teeth Kanye West has.

Truth be told, they suck so bad at math they could get ripped off as dealers. LOL! I don't know much about the other two. My students seem to be more intent on the who's who of rappers.

No small feat at all, because there are so many that come and go, and most of them sound alike. I heard one opinion not long ago that hip hop catalogs don't fare that well over time.

I never cared for rap. I love a melody, and that stuff bores me to tears. I bombard them with my music now and then. Lord knows they could use some culture.

Now that's an interesting little nugget, Rip, although the sound a like issue seems to be pervasive throughout all genres lately. It'll be interesting to see just how well the hip hop catalogs do fare over time. I mean Kanye West has proclaimed himself the voice of his generation, so one should expect his music will, in time, be as revered as Elvis, The Beatles, and even Journey, no?

LOL. If Kanye West is the voice of his generation, that doesn't say much for his generation. The mainstream music industry is like one of those coin-op games where you try to grab a teddy bear with a crane. Every once in a blue moon, you end up with something special, but lose out most of the time. We get a truly memorable star on occasion, but more often than not, just mass-production clones milking the flavor of the day sound. They disappear as fast as they appear. Keeps all the power in the hands of the labels who sign them, and out of the artists hands. Doubt most of those bands will even be able to play small clubs 10 years from now because their name recognition never gets high enough to draw fans.

LOL, I was wondering if that question would be asked. It was actually one out of a wad of them, for a photo shoot for Vince's new business venture. The shoot was pretty massive and complex. Some have already been posted at his site:

www.vinceneilaviation.com

A bunch of reporters also showed up during the shoot, and now there are several articles about Vince's company around if you Google it. COOL!!!

BTW, I got tired of carrying the $100 bill around in my wallet, especially considering the dangerous parts of town I like to go to for good Mexican food, so I deposited it in my checking account yesterday for safekeeping.
