Get well soon, Matt ... the flu sux ... and it leaves you down in the dumps for a while even after you recover.

I'm feeling much better as today goes on. Looks like lsat night was the last of the worst, knock on wood.

But, for what it's worth, I think it was stomach flu, no fever or chills or anything, so not technically real flu which a shot would prevent...

Thus, flu shots are still for pussies

Oh, and as miserable as I was these last few days... I'd still rather have flu than a cold. One more good night's sleep and I'll be good to go again.

See, I suffered quite a bit for a few days, but now I'll be totally fine much quicker than a cold, which would leave me run down for a longer period of time. It's a trade-off, but one I'm probably willing to make in MOST circumstances (unless I had a bad week ahead of me at work, in which case a completely incapacitating stomach virus would suck... can obviously get through it even with a terrible cold)

It wasn't a super fancy place... standard rest/bar setup. It was right across the street from that Live Acts strip joint... I remember because we discovered it after my drunk buddy got conned into dropping a few hundred on a private room with some nasty stripper So we ate and waited there.

I just simply chose not to have a flu shot, because I know my body and I know that A) I can handle a flu if I get it and B) I dont need to give a boost of help to my immune system. Unlike where you come from, here we have the freedom to choose if we want a flushot or not.
