Azoff suing Axl Rose

LOS ANGELES - Axl Rose is being sued by a famed music manager who claims the singer owes him nearly $2 million in unpaid commissions.

Front Line Management, which was founded by Irving Azoff, sued Rose in Los Angeles on Thursday for nearly $1.9 million in unpaid fees. The company claims it had an oral agreement with Rose to receive 15 percent of the Guns N' Roses' frontman's commissions.

The lawsuit states the commissions are due on more than $12 million in earnings Rose made for performances abroad.

Attempts to reach Rose's current management were unsuccessful.

Azoff has represented famous musicians such as The Eagles and Joe Walsh and is currently the executive chairman of Live Nation Entertainment Inc., which recently merged with Ticketmaster Entertainment.

I thought Azoff was a good businessman. WTF is he doing in an oral agreement?

So that's why Arnel's contract is based on nothing but a handshake. Signatures? We don't need no stinking signatures!

But he felt sorry for Perry when he hurt his hip. He seemed compassionate in the BTM show. Doesn't that earn ol Irv some cred with you?

Arnel's got plenty of people already sucking him dry, including his current manager who is giving Journey the RIGHT to use his talents, when he is not pimping him on daytime RP TV to prop up ratings for other, better known but less deserving, local entertainers.

Nope, I need not apply for that gig. I'll stick with my numbers job.

Extremely classy of Perry to force-fire Herbert and replace him with Azoff ... and then bail. I think Azoff still represents Perry, too.

Nostrildamus's pretend career. The dope still can't accept the fact that he can't sing worth a fuck anymore. I guess annual background sessions for obscure bands, polishing up decade-old songs and strenuously contemplating releasing them is taxing. Hey, a couple more trips to the shrink chair and a few more attempts at getting a vocal coach to say "You've still got it, oh great one!" are on tap for 2010. Hell, if you go to enough, someone's bound to tell you what you want to here.

Nope...if he puts something out sure I will buy it...but I am done on the Journey train...done! He has been for years...I never
got it till now....there are many in his boat...it's what I said I like my lead singers with the songs they sang...Perry goes on tour I will be there....the only one that "works" for me is Sammy....I would be in the front row....the rest suck without the voice IMO...you enjoy the cover show...I am OUT!

You really don't GET it at all....but what did I expect from you anyway???

Yeah, sure they do...a Perry memo to Irv may go like this:

"Where the fuck is my March residual from the GH package Asshole? Send it to my Del Mar bank, as I will be betting the horses that day."
