Audio / Computer wizs....I need some help with CD ISO's

Postby steveo777 » Wed Mar 31, 2010 8:46 am

I have some complete albums obtained from a computer I parted out. They are cd images in .ape format. Nero doesn't recognize them. I can can convert them using a program I downloaded for free, but all that does is turn them into 1 large MP3 file. I have no idea how to extract them and see each individual track. If I could extract all the tracks I could convert them. I'm stumped on this one. Anyone??? :?

Have you tried this app?

http://www.mediacoderhq.com/

Pretty good to add to your arsenal. Does well in converting .APE to .WAV (Separate files), then I take those and run them through an MP3 encoder (though Mediacoder has a built in MP3 coder, i can't attest to it's quality since I use another app specifically for MP3 encoding)

I'll check it out. I guess my real issue is cracking open the ISO so I can see the individual tracks. Think that one will do it?I know on movie ISOs winrar works fine in most cases, but not this. Tried 7zip and winzip also, but to no avail. Thanks.

The ONLY program I use for ripping audio is EAC, or Exact Audio Copy.....lossless.

As it turned out the app I needed is called ApeRipper. Works very nicely, with the .img and .cue files, then splits all the tracks out and outputs them in MP3. Problem solved. :D
