Whats a Muse?
Isn't muse that stuff that come out of your nose and you cough up when you're sick? Or that stuff you put in your hair?

I'll take the band Journey. I don't think the band would be miming the instruments. Did U2 and Springsteen? i can't remember.
Edge was the only live (as in, allowed to free lance) musician out of the last ten acts, only because he is who he is and the whole scope of that show because of 9/11. There is just not enough time to prep instruments with sound checks and such.. The official answer from the NFL is everyone is live and all the mics are live, they just have everything pre-recorded as a backup to fill in if there are any guffaws. Make of that what you will. The pyrotechnics are timed to the taped performance so that can give you an idea about how much of it is actually live.

Gunbot- I fired an email off to Thrill Hill Productions (Jon Landau Mgt), and to my surprise, the very next day I got a return email answering this question: Live at Super Bowl.
They told me not all members were plugged in, but "Bruce's mic was the prominent sound piece, as was Bruce's guitar, and that of Nils Lofgren. Max was live on drums, but you couldn't hear it over the loud speakers which do contain a pre recorded show." The reason? You were correct in that there is no time to sound check instruments- the drums really don't need a sound check, but Lofgren's guitar was the main sound coming from the five guitars- Van Zandt was not to be "fully on" nor was Patti or Suzie. Springsteen's guitar is always on however, during live shows, the soundboard turns it up or down accordingly to mesh with the certain parts of a show. Also, both keys were not activated- The piano and organ were not plugged in due to the fact that a sound check was impossible given the 4 minute stage set up."
Thanks to Rachel Meyers and Barbara Carr from Landau Mgt.

Ok, fucker....you seem to think "miming" instrument play is ok, but a singer lipping to get thru a tough time is a crime punishable by death. Please explain. Oh, never mind, Neal's sexy curls have won your heart over again.....I almost forgot.![]()
