LOL, dude, I just spewed my Miller Tall Boy all over my new Disneyland shirt, asshole. This event should be the first event that pays YOU to attend. You have got to be shitting me and yourself for that matter. Winger? LOL. Dokken? Please. Great White? OMG..what a shitty bill. If I was the promoter, I would call it Shitfest and then go run in front of a train. What loser puts this bill together and then looks in the mirror and likes what he sees? Goddamned man, what the Hell is wrong with people who listen to this crap?

Coors original isn't that bad. I used to drink it in Californicate and it has 6% alc, at least it did. The piss water in Washington is 3.2%.

Bite your tongue dude. I once threw down, proudly I might add, 38 Rainier's in 4 hours during a beerfest challenge at WSU, called, Stateline Supremacy. (U of Idaho is 8 miles from Washington State It was a challenge against University of Idaho, and I did real well, was in the zone so to speak. Opened my hole up and poured that shit in, disappearing down my throat like a turd in the toilet. I was on fire dude. Probably my greatest lifetime achievement. :oops: Brought home the gold for the Cougs. Made lots of friends that day.

Admirable job but Raindeers only have 3.2% too, last time I checked. We used to be able to get a case of pounders around here for like 8-9 bucks. Are you old enough to remember just plain ol generic "beer"? I used to buy that shit but would look at the box to see which brewing company it was from. If it was from Rainier or Lucky, I'd buy it and it was ok.

Nice post about drinking 38 and bringing home the gold! Anyway, someone tell me why all these fests are happening in Oklahoma?! These promoters must be paying the bands a nice chunk of change to go and play in OK.

Haven't a clue. Who in the Hell would travel to Oklahoma to see this lineup? Seriously, I am asking. Who would pay 50 bucks to travel to see this shit bill and who would pay 20 bucks to listen to these bands? Then, to top it off, host a metal/rock show in tornado alley. Makes peeerrrrrfect sense. There's a reason the University of Oklahoma mascot name is the "Sooner." The sooner you leave Oklahoma, the better.

I don't see Winger on this bill, if they were I would consider going. Warrant, Dokken, Great White, this is an excellent show, it would be a no brainer if I lived in OKC. Tell me what your idea of a festival is Deano? Puppet Show/Spinal Tap? :lol:

My idea for a full blown rock festival?

Easy.

I would call it Rockin the USA

I would have American bands only, and it would be on the 4th of July, with fireworks after the show. It would in a state where an airport is not 120 miles away from the stage...say, Springfield, Missouri.

First up John Mellencamp
Toby Keith would hit the stage for a nice 1:30 set.
Journey would follow with a 1:130 set.
Rascal Flatts would do 1:30
Keith Urban would follw
and of course Bruce would close the festival with a 2:50 min blowout.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band 900P-1200A
Keith Urban 715P-845P
Rascal Flatts 530P-700P
Journey 330P-500P
Toby Keith 200P- 315P
John Mellencamp 1245P-145P

Tickets are 100 bucks a pop. Beers are 3 bucks and margaritas, 4 bucks.

Parking is free.

Event held in an military airfield and attendance would be estimated at 100,000.

Would cost 3 million to put on, but we would make killer jack. 100,000 guests at 100.00 dollars is 10 million bones. The breakdown as follows:

Mellencamp- 100K
Toby Keith - 100,K
Journey - 100K
Rascal Flatts- 250K
Keith Urban- 300K
Bruce and Band- 3 million

Total band payout= 3.85 million dollars.
Security= 1 million
Personnel= 50K
Insurance= 2 million

Total payout 6.9 million

Profit= 3.1 million. Donate 2 million to charity, pocket rest of it and party for months on end.

T shirt sales will be divided up and split between bands.

Easy money

Journey? We don't need no dadgum foreigner singing about Nebraska wheat fields, cruising in a souped up Malibu or dancing with Ellie Mae at the high school prom.

Your show would draw a crowd, but I would not travel to see it, even if it was 20 miles away. I'd much rather see Winger, Dokken, Scorps, Ratt, Trixster etc.. anytime over that lineup.

I like it G....but I would think with me flexible genre's, and my huge headliner, I would top your gross. I love the Eagles but today they simply are not in the same league as Bruce. I have country(Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith), singer/songwriter(Mellencamp)/sing along pop (Journey), and HUGE headliner (Bruce and Band).

Poco shedding their country rock skin and getting damn close to an AOR/west coast pop sound. One of my favorites:

The Dokken Curse continues. Don has managed to book gigs in the least opportune places and times for me, preventing me from getting to a single show for the past few years. Even my trip to Dallas a few weeks back, I found out Dokken was playing the SAME place just the next week. I'd love to go but am thinking it might conflict with Journey To The Cure 2010.
