Give me an effing break.....A vocalist's voice DOES NOT MATURE until after 30 -
which is why I think AI is A CROCK OF SHIT!

'Idol' castoff has critiques for show's judges

NEW YORK – Now that Didi Benami knows she won't be the next "American Idol," she has some criticism for the judges.

"I would say be more consistent just like they told me," the 23-year-old Benami said.

Early in the competition the judges liked her unique singing style, but over time changed their tune.
Last week, they panned Benami's performance of "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted," calling it "old fashioned," "overdone" and "dramatic."

Benami, a Tennessee native who moved to Los Angeles to pursue singing in 2005, also thinks the judges could tone down their reactions.

"I would tell them to not be as harsh because some of the things they said were really, really hurtful and not necessary."

Simon Cowell also compared Benami's performance last week to "swimming through a bowl full of jelly" as in, it wasn't easy.
Benami will get to tour this summer as a part of the "Idol" Top 10. There are nine contestants left in the singing competition.

Critics are hard on you, sometimes to draw the best from you, and to give you a dose of reality. On the otherhand, I have known critics that are not fair or unbiased in their assessments. If you cannot take criticism.........stay out of the arts........you will get as many or more bad reviews as good. Develope a thick skin or you won't survive. As for Simon Cowell...........has this pre schooler ever seen the show? :?

I liked didi at first...she never got any better as the weeks went on... it feels like some on that show, feel likes its owed to her/him... and when the judges are overly tough on them, the contestants that
really wanto to peform either learn from it and get better... and the ones that arent that tough... crumble... Didi crumbled. I hope Sibone or whatever her name is takes what the judges told her
last week and LEARN from what she did wrong and improve, otherwise, she will be the next gone.
