Hard to mock the Kings any more, eh? I used to call them the Queens, lol. They are solid.

Dean, you hoping for the Wings in the first round or rather face them later? It's odd having such a tough matchup in the first round, rather than the usual Nashville or Columbus.

Good question Scotty. I was going to write a post about matchups, and that certain teams have other teams number.

I don't want any part of Detroit I would rather face LA, even though they thrashed us 8-3 last week. If the Canucks ever get SJ, it's over, they just cannot defeat the Sharks. Te West is so difficult. I don't want any team to be honest with you. But nothing beats playoff hockey.

Blueskiesgirl, I take it you have been to a Blackhawks game? Well, I know Hawks games are great to watch in Chitown, but the playoffs are just a completely different game. I have been to Vancouver, Chicago, Kings, Colorado, and the Shark Tank. Chicago is just electrifying for playoff hockey. You'll have the Wings throwing octopus, the Canucks with the white out(originators), and throwing salmon on the ice, the Kings do the blackout, and Chicago has that fucking organ. That organ gives me the goosebumps....just amazing atmosphere.

I thought that was Winnipeg? They're the first I remember seeing doing it.

Nope. Roger Nielson started it accidentally. He waved a white towel to the referee as a "surrender" type of gesture. The fans at Pacific Coliseum mocked him(in a good way of course), and the white out was born.

I'll never forget the finnish Flash though in Winnipeg during a home playoff game there. Selanne scored a goal to take the lead, and threw his glove as high as he could, straight up, and then pretended to shoot it out of the air like a hunter would to geese. It was awesome.
