Michigan is one cool place, especially in the upper penisula and such. Lot of neat towns along the east bank of Lake Michigan. Detroit=Detoliet

These Michicag commercials with Tim Allen are cool too . In my opinion, Michigan is the cleanest state Ive ever been to. The only big city I visited that was cleaner than Michigan was Toronto , Ontario.

California or Michigan, hmmmm. Do I want to go to the beach or participate in a dart tournament at the local biker joint?

I'll stick with the sunshine and surf, you keep the other three seasons and whatever goes with it. We keep the snow in the mountains here, where it belongs until called for.

I knew those lake beaches were coming my way. How many months do do you get to enjoy those and isn't that also the coldest place to be during the winter?

If you have access to the beach and nice weather all the time, year around, then you wont appreciate it as much. Plus, go to the UPs in January and check out the snowmobile trails and the cozy cabins with fireplace ,,, you may rethink your celeb life style after all ;)

I grew up on the east coast so I had my share of snow growing up. When I was in Japan, the weather was about what you would get year round in Washington D.C., Korea though was very unpleasant (humid summers and freezing winters). After 18 years in California, I REALLY thought I would enjoy seeing snow again when I visited my family in Delaware. After a day, the thrill wore off. After three days, I was hating life. I'll be the first to admit, all these years in SoCal has made me a pussy when it comes to cold weather. It looks cool on TV when I see people snowboarding and what not, but as soon as I change the channel, the thrill is over. I feel no desire beyond going to Big Bear or Mammoth for a few hours, nothing longer than that.

Glad to see someone else mention living in warm (or in our case here in FL, an OVEN most of the time) weather makes you not so used to cold weather at all, lol.

Kim and you guys living up there near Chicago, I looked at your temps and the temps for Elgin, I'm going to be COLD!
