What's up this weekend?

Postby Arianddu » Fri Apr 16, 2010 12:50 pm

I know it's still Thursday in the US and Canada, but here in Australia it's already Friday and we're gearing up for the weekend. So what does everyone have planned?

Me, I'm being a choir geek and going off to a weekend rehearsal camp. Lots of fun.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

I'm hoping to record 3 or 4 more songs for the album this weekend. I have 6 songs completed so far, and we hope to be done with all of the basic tracks within the next week or so (If Alex quits screwing around! :P). Once I finish all of the tracks, we have to finish all of the solos and vocals. We're hoping to get Alex out here to help me mix this album by the middle/end of May. If he doesn't make it out here by then, I'm sending him a shoe-bomb with Andrew's return address!!!

Concert! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Dressing up like Cyndi Lauper and singing "True Colors" and I get the solo part for her as well for the group song "We are the World".............screach check! LOL! I hope we raise a lot for my teacher. She was a great influence on me.

I loved singing in High School, and belonged to the Choir, the Traveling Choir, of course the rock/pop group Horizons that I will be reuniting with this weekend, and a quartet.  How did I memorize all those songs back then?

Also setting up a meeting with a gallery owner who is running the Art and Stroll on May the 6th. I am being paired with the Player One store. Video Games.......and my art..........a match I am sure! LOL! The owner of the store is great, and is giving me the front half of his store to set up, and do a drawing demonstration that night. The State Governor's wife will be coming and the local news.........the whole main street will be shut down for the event. Food and live music everywhere.......lights on the stroll etc.........lovely way to spend an evening! Many area artists are participating. :D

I think I'll be converting our garden from winter to summer mode. I haven't received my instructions yet so until then, it will be Guinness and the History channel.

And he makes shockingly cute kids; they can't get it all from their mother.

Cool! There was another girl that had chosen to do that song, and well with me being an artist and all True Colors seemed par. Tape that puppy and if they tape my show we can laugh over the renditions! I might just pm them to you first.......  LOL! :D
