Horizon concert I have a question about your self worth....

HORIZON CONCERT TONIGHT! I have been to rehearsal, and I think I am as ready as I can be. I look ridiculous..........I will upload a photo later. I think someone is going to video tape the show, so if they do, I will share it with you guys..........if nothing else Parfait can use me for his poster child of Obese Drag Queens from America. LOL! We are cutting out the song We are the World, we just felt we could not do it justice. I had my part down too.......oh well........LOL! It is for a great cause, and since I was in the first band, they want me to say something to our teacher before they give her some flowers at the show. It is going to be so hard not to loose it. And right before I have to sing too........... Wish me luck!

The show was great and I had a wonderful time, my teacher came back stage and gave me a hug........I cried. The show was recorded, so once I get a copy I can put it on here. Not my best, but not my worst. I was very nervous. We had a great deal of fun, and everyone hugged at the end, and vowed to get together again next year. Photos are supposed to be in the local magazine next month. Everyone got a kick out of my outfit. Thanks GI and those who supported me. I have not sung publicly in a long time.

I am very healthy then! LOL! I truely enjoyed my preacher's sermon tonight, he spoke about self worth. How the world views us, how we allow that view to color our self perception of us, and how we view ourlselves. Is it good to strive to be healthy, be in shape, and to care for yourself...........yes, everyone should strive for these things to promote a happier and healthier life. But at the same time we allow people to jade our views of ourlselves so much.....sometimes we give ourselves over to self loathing. If your overweight, you can start to exercise, eat right, and take better overall care about you.

But while you are overweight you have a tendency to hate your appearance so bad you will not allow people to photograph you, you hate shopping for clothes, and you deal with smart alleck skinny people who find it their goal to ridicule anyone not as healthy as themselves. These are folks that I grow to dislike very quickly. Some people will never know what it is like to struggle with weight issues. Their metabolism is high or due to heredity it never becomes a problem.


I am a lovely overweight lady. I care for my hair, and it is blond and shoulder length with a few wisps of white that I love because of ageing. I have nice blue eyes, ones that are large and expressive. I have a full figure.........total Double Dillimas........LOL! I have strong firm legs, and a warm smile. I strive hard to love others, and I try to find ways to listen to points of view though they may be far from my own. I make fun art, and I love sharing that with people. I have gifts that God has given me that I am enriched with. I have better health than many folks I know, and I am blessed for that as well. I have a best friend as my husband, and he sees me as the most beautiful wonderful woman he could ever love. He is always telling me how talented of a singer, artist, mother, and wife that I am, and how smart I am. He is not for sale ladies.........he is all mine. So you see.........the world sees an overweight woman..............those who love me, see me as Dan sees me. And what a lovely mirror I have in his eyes........no other one matters...........
