Front row center for Lynch this afternoon; he played with the house band of mainly Texas guitar guys, so it was all blues except an impromptu rendition of Mr. Scary. I enjoyed the hell out of it, but the other guys on the stage looked like they might have been getting irked with George indulging himself on some pretty long jam runs.
Side of the stage up pretty close for Neal last night; he did 4 songs with a different house band; he looked and sounded wonderful and got a really warm reception from the crowd; folks were clearly loving him, and he looked like he was having a blast.
Up close on the side for Nugent this afternoon; he had Derek St. Holmes and Rob Grange with him; sounded fabulous, but the political ranting was turned up as high as his guitar. Since I'm as far to the left as he is to the right, I found it pretty tiresome. He did Stanglehold and Cat Scratch fever, much to the delight of the crowd. Seemed like 8 guys for every 2 women; maybe that's usual at guitar festivals; first one I've ever been to.
Expected jam with all these guys together never materialized as far as I saw. Ken was there last night; maybe he caught something I missed.
All in all, Sis and I had lots of fun; I'd definitely do it again.
