Ashamed To Be A Wrestling Fan...

A 22-year-old fan from Brooklyn, New York has been arrested for serious threats against the WWE and its employees. CTPost.com reports that Zavr Pegumbari was arrested Friday for calling WWE headquarters over 20 times last week, harrassing employees and threatening to blow up the company's offices.

Why? Simply due to the release of former women's champion, Mickie James.

Peygumbari is accused of also saying he would visit the building with a machete and a machine gun. His attorney described him as a "fervent wrestling fan who did not intend to follow through on his threats".

He was charged with four counts of fourth-degree threatening, one count of second-degree harassment and two counts of second-degree threatening.

Peygumbari's bond was initially set for $250,000, but was reduced to $5,000 due to him signing a written contract stating he would show back up for court. However, he is not allowed to go to any WWE events, contact their employees, or go near the Stamford offices. His court date is set for May 25.

I was a fan of mickie james as well and was pissed that she got fired. But this is not the way to go, this dumbass should get the maxim prison sentence.

But it's OK to sit in the front row and continuously harass the singer at a concert.

TNA is nowhere CLOSE to being the same product as WCW. (People act like it's a bad thing, WCW kicked RAW's ASS for 3 straight years from 1995-1998 before being bought out from the AOL/Time Warner merger in 2001. BTW: whatever you see now on RAW like live shows, backstage segments, and real life storyline was ALL done first on WCW Monday Nitro.)

TNA has been in existence since 2002, and everyone said it wouldn't last 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, it was said they wouldn't last 2 months. After 2 months, a year and now after 8 years of existence and just NOW having some credibility to their name to be in the same sentence as WWE (for what it's worth) I don't think their going anywhere since they aren't for sell and SPIKE T.V is said to be thrilled to have TNA on their network.

Because the market is not right for them to be apart of the Monday Night fiery. ( NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, Dancing with the Stars, RAW, and soon to be MNF.)

Spike T.V's network is horrendous and doesn't attract viewership to their t.v station and wrestling is nowhere NEAR as popular as they were some time ago, actually it's not even close and ratings are nosediving overall. I remember RAW and WCW getting 6.0-8.0 ratings on a regular basis. Now that WM is over, as well as the draft, Raw brought in a 3.0 rating last night, HORRENDOUS to WWE standards.

TNA doesn't have the resources, flagship, station, network, productivity, arena revenue, or money to compete against WWE. Moving back to Thursday's will give them the stability they need as to gain viewership the right way and build an audience in proper fashion. TNA isn't going anywhere.

Haha, people are so full of shit, everyone knows they liked it one time or another. Wrestling is one of those things that's hard for people to admit they like for some reason. Me? I don't give a shit, I've been a wrestling fan since 1996 and love the ability and story telling these athletes portray and it can be really funny at times. Hell, RAW is still the top rated show on the U.S.A network and STILL is the most watched show on that station as well as cable. Over 6 million people tune in to watch one form of wrestling and at one time, WCW was the most popular show ON TELEVISION.

Don't let people fool you when they say they hate wrestling, all dudes like or liked it at SOME point, and still do.

BTW: I took a body slam on mat once and I didn't move for the next hour. That ring takes NO give and feels like landing on hard concrete, and if you land wrong, sianara, welcome to neck/back surgery.

I got my ass kicked one time for telling these guys in my class that i liked wrestling( that's what i get for wearing a stone cold shirt to school 8) ). Although i was able to give one of them a stone cold stunner so watching wrestling does have it's advantages

I was also trying to give another guy a pedigree but one guy hit me back in the head hard as hell nearly passed out until some of the teachers came

I'm right there with ya, man. I was a HUGE fan back in the late 90s, and you have some idea of how I roll. I still have several autographed 8x10s from people like Dan "The Beast" Severn, Rob Van Dam, "Hacksaw" Jim Dugan, Loki, and others. I gave away several like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Rena Mero (Sable), etc. to a friend's son who was a fan years ago.

I was laughing about the wrestling belt collector comment. I actually ordered a custom made belt from Joe "The Beltster" Marshall (he makes ALL the belts for the big organizations and more), and paid that S.O.B. $800 up front to start (still have the money order receipts). I came up with the design, and it was going to be based on the WCW TV champ belt, but with a custom logo I'd designed. He got as far as making the plates and I've seen a picture of them unpainted -- wish I still had it. But he never delivered. It was supposed to be a 90-day turnaround, but he kept stalling and stalling, making excuse after excuse and 10 years later it's too late for me to do much about it. That dude is one of the biggest pricks I've seen, and he's stiffed several people apparently. Most of the text on his websites over the years was dedicated to intimidating customers to keep them from checking up on their belts, and I had to have been the kindest and most patient in the bunch. Sad to say, it doesn't always pay to be a nice guy. :(

Here's something cool -- I sat next to WWE/WCW ref Charles Robinson on the plane ride to Cleveland in '07, and that is one cool dude. Great conversation.
