Roger Waters Wall Tour

The show will be a state-of-the art affair, featuring a 240-foot-wide and 35-foot-tall wall constructed and subsequently torn down during the concerts. Other props and special effects are expected to be part of the show as well.

Released in November of 1979, "The Wall" -- which focuses on a disaffected young musician facing an existential personal crisis that reflected Waters' state of mind at the time -- spent 15 weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified 23-times platinum and won a Grammy Award for Best Engineered Recording -- Non-Classical.

Have only ever saw Pink Floyd live once years ago, was spectacular though!

I saw the Gilmour led Floyd in 94. They really do one of the best shows imaginable. I've heard Rogers shows are great also, provided you can get past all of his political meanderings.

The only reunion that could top Floyd would be Zeppelin. ABBA might come in a distant third.

I might see this when he comes to Cleveland. If it were Gilmour it would be a no-brainer. Gilmour = Floyd for me.

When I saw them minus Walters, it didn't make any difference. Pink Floyd is so much about the music, as long as it's done right, it doesn't matter which piece is missing as long as the musicianship is there. That whole tour was nothing but sold out stadiums.

It's not that I don't like Roger, I have his DVD and it's really good, but Gilmour just has the signature higher voice and of course the 100% signature guitar style. His licks aren't that hard to cop for even a decent player, but his feel... I've yet to hear that copped convincingly, and I've heard some GREAT guitar players' covers of Floyd stuff.

I'll be at the Dallas show...I'd much rather here David Gilmore sing his songs, but alas, this will have to do....Never saw Waters so I'm looking forward to this.

For the record. I love Floyd with or with him.

This should be awesome.
