Half Price Fraps

Postby Don » Sat May 08, 2010 5:41 am

Starbucks is having a happy hour promotion (3pm to 5pm) through next week for blended fraps at halfprice. I'm thinking of crossing the street over to Bob Hope Airport and getting one.
Anyone else enjoy these high calorie bastards or tried the skinny versions yet?

Nope, not a coffee drinker. Hot tea in the morning occasionally and unsweet ice tea,...sometimes green tea with honey... but most of the time I just drink lot's and lot's of water.

I just got the soy strawberry one. Not bad. They put a dash of vanilla bean in it to offset the taste. The 12 ounce with no whipped cream, around 250 calories (for those counting). The whipped cream takes it up to 350 calories so skip that if you're concerned.

Non fat milk in place of the soy drops 10 calories also.

LOL, so is coffee the new drink of choice at happy hour  Unfortunately, I usually have my daily fix in the morning or early afternoon so I wouldn't benefit too much from this promo. I think alcohol still has it's place secured during evening hours  Anyway, do you only get 50% off on the three flavors mentioned in the ad or is it any flavor? The black cherry mocha is amazing if they still offer it.

Any frap blend you want. It's from 3 to 5 so a tad earlier than a real Happy Hour.

I had a "heads up" on this deal while I was in one of these stores the other day. Maybe I'll go in and try a coffee-free frap today.
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

Depending on where you are, half price cigarettes would probably be more popular then the half price drink down at Starbuck's.

So I gave in and went to get my 1/2 price frappuccino today...the barista kept saying it was 'frappy hour' I like that you can get nonfat milk now to cut the calories of the frapp in half, however it cuts the taste in half too. Even though it wasn't on the menu, I still was able to get the black cherry mocha but unfortunately it's much better in the full fat version

Yeah, the hot dark cherry is good too. My all-time favorite flavor ever is eggnog, both hot & cold, offered during the holidays...I was so addicted to that :) Have you ever tried it?

I wonder if they're offering them half price to try since they changed them from what I've heard? I don't get those, I always get a hot latte of some sort if I go to Sbux, but I've heard they changed the fraps and some people don't like the "new" ones, lol.

I love the peppermint mochas, dark cherry mochas, and white chocolate mochas, and I get them non-fat but the sugar content in those kills that "healthy" non-fat choice, lol. That's why they're a treat!
