1.) Pens are a completely different team when Crosby's on the bench. The opponent has scored close to 70% of their goals against Pittsburgh when Crosby's not on the ice. The +/- rating of the top line vs. the rest of the team is close to +25 better as well. Though scoring is about even across the board, the lower lines aren't always getting the job done down low.
2.) I've never been sold on Fleury. He has the lowest save% of the remaining goaltenders (.897.) Yes, he got a shutout in his last game, but it was on only 18 shots. If the Pens go cold at any point and they give up too many shots, I think Fleury could potentially get exposed...his only saving grace has been making the timely saves at the end of games that make people forget about his early mistakes.

That's pretty much reading in between the lines and serves no purpose of watching what the Pens are actually doing. They are completely manhandling a mediocre Habs team and making way too many uncommon and uncharacteristic errors that keeps the Habs into the game.
How? I don't know. I've never seen a team get absolutley killed for 3 periods but yet come away with a W. Fleury I think has played spectacular and stone walls alot of tough shots, but lets many bad ones in, always have, but there's no doubt he's pretty much the heart and soul of where we go in the playoffs. All 3 goals the Habs scored yesterday were shit shots, and one hit off of a skate of our own defender, but that's what hockey is, shoot it at the net, and hope for a deflection and the Habs have won 2 outta 4 games with getting out played severely, and THAT puts the Pens in a bad position as to where they skate around these guys with ease and still lose the game.
Habs have a shot, and I'm not sold on Halak when the Pens are shooting out the ass but yet, givin Halak basic shot to stop. Not a good formula for the Pens and they could be in trouble if it continues this way. They need to finish the domination since domination means JACKSHIT when you don't put the puck in the net!

Yep. I just saw a lot of sloppy play last game. And Halak is good, obviously. But Fleury has been playing well too. With ALL the shots, I still can't believe they didn't have a win. The Pens are definitely dominating on the ice so hopefully that means a win in the end. They are off to home ice now, right? Hopefully that will make a difference. Though they have won some tough games away in these series. They HAVE to lose to the Bruins![]()

Fleury should of had that shut out, where was the whistle? And of course, the Habs scoring with a deflection off our own player. This game was the same as the other's, just beating them at every phase pretty much, nothing else to say. Would be nice to beat them Monday and get atleast a couple days rest, I do NOT want a game 7, home or not that is scary territory to enter.

The thing that baffles me is how the Canadians withstood their storm. They were down 3-1 to the Caps, and 3-2 to us when getting dominated in every phase. They play the kind of hockey that doesn't look pretty and look mediocre at times, but they somehow stick with it and somehow get it done.
Even though for most of the game they get manhandled, they give themselves a shot and that's a BITCH of a team to contend with. Give them credit and major props for doing what they have to do at the right times.

See, I disagree. I don't think Halak's been faced with stopping jaw dropping shots. Mostly every shot lands right on his chest and he doesn't really need to do much on his knees whilst on the ice. It's their defense that's mostly blocking shots and forming a wall in front of him, mixed in with a couple good luck breaks with the puck in front of the net and there you have an overzealous Pens team underachieving.
They are literally inches off of scoring 4 goals a game, minimum. Flower seems to be on his ass constantly and making leg save after leg save then just being victim of bad turnovers from our defense. Just not a good formula for the Pens now.. Habs know how to beat us and wouldn't be surprise to see destiny on their side.
It won't come easy. We'll come to play Wednesday. The Igloo better get goin from the drop of the puck to 0:00 of the 3rd pd.

While i see what you're saying, and I do agree to some degree, this whole series I think he has held his own pretty well. With or without the help of his defensive players.
They're going to fight hard and I think they still have a good chance for a win! Im glad game 7 is on home ice.
