I'd be surprised. General guess is that Andrew got about as many diehards to melodicrock.com to the site as Journey/Winger, etc would get to their live show, which is roughly 10-20%. It's probably skewed a bit with the small size of the show, but I'd hazard a guess to say 200 max out of the 1000 admissions (which I presume included the Friday VIP?). Sounds like about 15 from these forums and some amount of a UK contingent, plus some amount that read the site but don't post much if at all. The rest (ie vast majority) were local, heard the advertising and came out to see big band X.

He might get that amount to pay for posting rights, you never know. I'll still think that if there was really money to be made with having paid music forums, there would be a bunch more of them out there.

Id say about half the 500 , were NOT locals and travelled there,,,

if Andrew got 250 travellers who knew about melodicrock.com (and presume a good percentage got tickets for more than one day), the melodic scene didn't fail him. It was getting the locals to show up. That's always the hard part.

The hotel was packed with melodic rockers and you could tell from the shuttle getting filled back and forth from the venue to the hotel than there was a lot of people who travelled,,,,

Flyers could be posted at the various record/cd stores in and around the area. Sorry I didn't help before, but there could be people bombarding other music forums/websites promoting the show.

I know that a lot of musicians that attended the show bombarded Facebook about the show, way in advance up to show time. :)

What was weird is that venue only had 4 stalls in the bathroom, and I never had to wait in line!! It was a very male dominated event! So it wasn't the typical kind of thing where you had to fight to get in and out and for the bathroom. Everything was so relaxed. This was the most relaxed I ever was at a music event.

Very funny. LMAO

However, let me clarify (and you must not know me that well after all) I did not buy a shirt. I was commenting that they were cool shirts and high quality.
I know you were to cheap for that, you only buy T shirts and underwear from the goodwill

He might get that amount to pay for posting rights, you never know. I'll still think that if there was really money to be made with having paid music forums, there would be a bunch more of them out there.

Except I got 700 travellers for MRF1. So that drop in numbers was definitely a disappointment.
