Sex and the City: Part Deux

Postby bluejeangirl76 » Fri May 28, 2010 3:12 pm

Epic crap.

I'm saving you people $10. You're welcome.

What. A. Letdown. If you really really insist, though... just take a 10 dollar bill and flush it down the can, because you will still have wasted your $10, but you will have 2 1/2 hours available to you with which to do something else.

For the guys: don't let your wives drag you to this - *spoiler alert* - you won't get to see Kim Cattrall's titties, so for you men, there's no point.

Had some funny moments, yes. A plot would have been nice. A running subplot or two (besides Krisin Davis whining for 2 hours) would have been ok. This movie wasn't even nice enough to buy me dinner first.

If you've seen it - add your comments. If you haven't seen it but plan to - you can't say I didn't try to warn you.

I loved the first one. Saw it the first night it came out. I saw reviews for this at 1 1/2 and it stunned me. I can't go if I'm going to be let down. Very sad. The show was brilliant, but it needed to be left in New York, which is what gives SATC its energy and should have had some great plot lines.

The first one was good, but not theater worthy ...nothing that they couldn't/wouldn't
have shown on the boob~tube, including Kim's boobies!! I did enjoy it, though ...it
gave me a bit of closure!! Now, they are simply showing longer episodes of S&TC for
$10.00 a pop ...I did love that show!!

Thanks, BJG!

I'll wait for Netflix to deliver it. I loved the series, liked the movie but I'm not going to the theater to see this one I think.

Thanks for the warning.

I loved going to the theatre with the first one. Had a Girls' night out and cocktails after to see that (well, and our male gay friend).

This does not make me happy  I'm commited to going tomorrow with a friend for her sisterinlaws bday. I guess at least if I know it's not great going in, there's nothing to be disappointed in  I only thought the other one was okay, though I loved the show. I bet this will suck

It had plenty of funny moments, so that was something at least.
The Liza Minelli thing at the beginning is pretty damn funny.
Won't give details... but Liza being in it is no spoiler because it's in the opening credits.

Try this - have a few cocktails first... might make it more enjoyable!!

She's not 55!! Is she??  Really though, when they showed her so much in the show, she was much younger. The days of showing the bodies of those girls may be nearing its end  Though there are some pretty hot bodied women in their 50's. THAT is just not fair

LOVED the series, LOVED the first movie. This one was more horrible than I ever imagined. First of all, the took THE CITY out most of the movie. And THE CITY was the fifth character.

Then it was filled with some much 15 yr old potty humor I felt like it was written in a middle school locker room.

Through most of the movie I was just shaking my head and wondering when the misery was going to be over!!

wow, this review really depressed me. Now I don't even want to see it on DVD. I said the same thing, to not have SATC in New York City takes away a certain energy re the women and their lives. I loved the first movie and. So when longtime fans aren't going to bother going I wonder what the box office numbers are going to be. Once word of mouth gets around, whatever numbers they have will drop drastically, I bet, in the coming weeks.

Well, I just read they've already brought in 14 million on Thursday alone, so should have a great holiday open weekend.

I loved the series, but quite honestly, I was highly offended by the first movie...I have no intention of seeing the second.
