Child TV star Gary Coleman hospitalized in Utah
By JENNIFER DOBNER, Associated Press Writer
49 minutes ago

Former child television star Gary Coleman is in critical condition in Utah, a spokeswoman for the hospital said Thursday.

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said Coleman, 42, was admitted to the Provo facility on Wednesday but she couldn't release any other details.

Coleman lives in Santaquin, which is 55 miles south of Salt Lake City.

The actor is best known for his stint on TV's "Diff'rent Strokes," which aired from 1978 to 1986.

In February, Coleman suffered a seizure on the set of "The Insider."
A telephone message left for Coleman's Utah attorney was not immediately returned Thursday.

Coleman has lived in Utah since 2005, when he came here to star in the movie "Church Ball," a comedy based on basketball leagues formed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He met his wife, Shannon Price, on the movie set and married her in 2007.

Coleman has had a string of financial and legal problems, in addition to continuing ill health from the kidney disease he suffered as a child. Coleman has had at least two kidney transplants and has ongoing dialysis.

Last fall, Coleman had heart surgery that was complicated by pneumonia, his attorney Randy Kester has said.

In February, Coleman pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge related to an April 2009 domestic violence incident at his home.

Not making fun of his medical problems because they sound serious, but I have to ask... When he was arrested, was he tried as an adult?  Sorry, had to go there. I really do hope he's okay. I think he's been through a lot.

I still remember him on those cash call ads. Funny as shit seeing that guy as a loan shark representative.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns99tqLSDLU

Put this clip on pause and read the fine print at the end. That is insane! A $2,600.00 loan would end up costing $9,095.10, after four years of $215.55 monthly payments.

Gary Coleman has suffered a brain hemorrhage and his condition has progressively worsened, his manager tells PEOPLE.

The 42-year-old Diff'rent Strokes star is now unconscious and on life support in a coma. His wife is at his side in the hospital.

I was thinking that when I saw him on American Idol the other night ......besides a slightly stiffer walk, you'd never know by looking at him that the guy suffered a brain aneurism, appendix surgery and a stroke all in the last couple months. Geez Brett looked good. That 47 year old has a horseshoe up his ass!

Yes he does....I am happy too see he is doing well...just crossing my fingers that he continues to get
stronger with the schedule he appears to be keeping...he still needs to be careful.

42 is too young to die. It reminds us to not take anyone for granted. Make the best of use of every day, because you never know if it will be your last.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

He says he's at 75 percent. I think going on tour is crazy. He said he would take it a show at a time, but with that mini stroke coming on the back of it, I don't know. His family must be worried that he's going to be biting off too much.

Actually there was nothing to leave, he was broke dick at the time this happened. You know he was hurting for dead presidents, why else would anyone do a Cash Call commercial.

Damn straight! A friend I haven't seen in about 5 years died of a heart attack in his sleep last Friday. He was fit, healthy, had no history of heart disease, the only thing anyone knew was wrong with him was his blood pressure was a bit up; he was 42.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!
