Last Frontier - Jimmy Barnes (best song the album, hands down IMO!)
- Danny.

Speaking of songs written by Journey alumn...there was an album that was around '88 or 89 mentioned here a few months back (maybe more). I think Neal and Smith played on it too - does anyone recall the album? I was looking back through old posts but couldn't find where it was mentioned.
Any info appreciated.
Thx
Gunbot wrote:Smitty drummed on a number one song back in 85.
Half way through the recording session, drummer Mickey Curry announced that he had to leave since he committed in advance to a Hall & Oates session. Curry had warned Adams about his limited availability that day. The recording session for “Heaven” was running behind schedule and Adams called Journey drummer Steve Smith. Smith happened to be in New York at the time and he filled Curry’s drumming position.

I'm also fond of "Can't Hide Love" by Stan Bush and "Remember the Heroes" by Sammy Hagar (both Cain co-writes).

Does anyone know if Neal and Jonathan actually played on this song? I can possibly hear Jonathan's keyboards, but the guitar/solo doesn't sound like something Neal would do...

Two of mine are -
Last Frontier - Jimmy Barnes (best song the album, hands down IMO!)
You're All That I Need - Michael Bolton (love the whoa-oh coda!)
- Danny.

Are you thinking of Witness - s/t? Neal wrote Borrowed Time and Back To You and Smitty plays on there too.

Oddly, I don't think there's any Bad English songs that instantly remind me of Journey (but maybe that's just me). Does anyone else hear a strong Journey influence in any of Journey's songs? Any tracks that could have been on a Journey record?

If you were talking about all Journey members, I would say the two Storm albums are the best, by a long ways.
