They were literally less than 10 minutes from my house with the Cup the other night... at 4 am... if I had known, I WOULD have gone!!

They showed Seabrook walking out yesterday at about 11 am and he was barely able to stand. Toews was his usual uptight self and went and had a fucking bagel and coffee. Meanwhile, Patrick Kane was seen downing Jaeger Bombs and beers, and partying like Frank The Tank. 8)

PS I'm still waiting for Toews to give the Conn Smythe to Kane. What bullshit. :x

I thought it was bullshit that the first person Cap'n Jonny handed Stanley to was Hossa. Kaner got the game winner in OT and his hands should have been 2nd on that cup after Toews. Screw Marian and his last 2 (failed) attempts, that had nothign to do with CHI. I'm happy to see him get it, finally, and I'm happy he helped the B-hawks do it, but the next two hands on that thing should have been Kaner's.

No way Dude. Toews was much better overall than was Kane, plus he doesn't beat up taxicab drivers over 20 cent fares.

I didn't watch the parade, but was thinking, they should have ended that fucker up at Wrigley, just as the Cubs/Chisox game finished. That would have been epic to see the 40K at Wrigley go nuts.

This all started back when Colorado won the Cup and Joe Sakic, Burnaby Joe, handed the Cup to long time veteran Ray Bourque, who waited 17 years for a chance to win one. That's when this all started. Hossa is an amazing player. You should be very glad you have him. Yeah I know, he is a smelly Euro, but man is he strong on the rubber. You can't knock that fucker off the puck, unless it's Byfuglien hitting him accidentally.

Bullshit. Kane had the 2 most important goals of the playoffs. The first one that forced OT with under 13 seconds left in regulation avoided us going to Nashville down 3-2 (we eventually won in OT on a Hossa goal). Fuck, without that goal we may bot have even made out of the FIRST round. The second was a skate-off goal on the road in OT to win The Stanley Cup. That goal capped a 3 point performance (1 goal and 2 assists) in the team's most important game in 49 years. When the chips were down, Kane was the go-to guy. Meanwhile, Toews played well, but had about half of his stats in pretty meaningless situations ... and he eats fucking bagels.

PS Fuck that presumptuous cab driver. Kane demanded his change and the cab driver refused. Essentially, he tried to rob Kane and got a mouth shot for it. Seems fair to me.

There were 2 million people (according to the news) downtown for that rally. That kind of chaos would not fly in Wrigleyville on any day, let alone during the start of the Crosstown Classic.

2 fucking million? That's awesome! That's twice as much as the Obama celebration, yes? I'm guessing a predominantly white crowd, so probably not a lot of overturned cop cars or looting that we see each year with the fuckin' Lakers. I am sick of their act. Go Chowderheads!

The Bulls' fans did that after either the first win or the second win in the early 90s. (maybe both, too lazy to look it up). It was BAD.

Anytime you add the black demographic in the U.S. or the white soccer trash demographic in Europe, you usually end up with overturned cars, fighting, fires and some looting.

Well said. Respect for the veteran joureyman who has been well respected not only in the NHL for years, but for a true hockey player that deserved to handle the cup just like any other teammate of his, esp falling short of the last 2 straight cup appearances. Hossa took his lumps and put in his time and at this stage of his carreer, I'm glad the sportsmanship showed through and young players know the importance of what Hossa went through and meant to the NHL over the years.

This is the Blackhawks of 2010, not the Blackhawks of any year before so I'm glad Hossa finally got to touch a fresh cup. Even though the Vikes just acquired Favre last season, I bet the first person to touch the Lombardi trophy if Minny would have won it would have been Favre, only because of the respect and legend he means to the game and the importance of the 2009 Vikes. Would have been cool to see.
