Never tried it, but I did try, for the first time, Fosters Lager. I really like it. Those Aussies make some pretty good beer.

So what's the difference between this "high life" Miller and the standard "low life" Miller Lite? Would like to know for future shopping trips. I swayed away from Miller and tried Blue Moon recently which was pretty decent. It was a B&J mixed berry wine cooler for me tonight though.

According to Wikipedia, MGD is the same recipe as High Life but it's filtered differently. I always heard from my college peers that High Life was the worst of the worst, but it's probably about the same as MGD.

BTW Blue Moon is a Coors brand. My mom works for Anheuser Busch and she hates that my friends and I drink Blue Moon.

High Life is moose piss. my buddies and i used to buy this shit for kegs/parties back in college... then we waned off of it our last year and randomly picked up a few cases later on... and none of us could drink it. Terrible beer. Miller Lite all the way for shit beer that's drinkable in large quantities.

I'm into the 87 cent 24oz Keystone Light at Walmart, for a barely acceptable cheap beer.

I don't drink foreign beers or drive foreign cars (nor have I ever owned one). I buy GM cars and drink Bud Light or Coors Light. :)

Stones ain't bad man, neither is Busch Heavy. I like good beers, but I certainly am not opposed to cheap bers. I just had to get dropped off early from the bars downtown cuz our goddamn driver wanted to go to bed, that fuckin bitch. I'm drinkin some Busch Heavy i happened to have on hand right now.

It's a damn fine cheapo beer. I sure gets the job done. Did you see where I said 87 fucking cents for a 24oz can of beer? It's as close to free beer as I've ever seen. FUCK the Walmart haters.

Except Fosters is piss only fit for Victorians and foreigners to drink - real Aussies never touch the stuff. So I'd be careful drinking other Aussie beers, Rick - your head may explode from taste bud overload.

We had a bunch of guys helping us move several years ago. They sent ME out for beer which was a big mistake. They asked me to buy a case of "Miller Lite" and what I came home with was Miller High Life. The looks on their faces I will never forget. They pretty much told me that Miller High Life is the beer left at the end of the brewing process that probably should have been thrown out, but someone said "hey, let's bottle that and make some extra money" I will never forget that or make that mistake ever again because I felt bad that I didnt' get the right beer. One of the guys took it home with him, because he'll drink anything.

I can drink Miller Lite,,,but Miller High Life, no way in hell, its not even beer,,, the 30 High Lifes you got to get drunk, you couldve bought a 12-er Carlsberg and get as drunk with a nice buzz and less of a "cheap beer morning after feeling" ! :)

I drank Carlsberg one night, and I shit you not, my shit the next day smelled EXACTLY like the beer when I popped the cap off. Take that for what it's worth.

It doesn't need to be foreign to be good - here are some current summer favorites:

Goose Island 312 Wheat Beer [out of Chicago]

Hoegaarden

Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat

I think you got the Carlsberg Elefant,,,,

I like the plain old Carlsberg. Best beer in the world!

But Scarab, you should start of with a 12er of Heineken Light,,,,, you will enjoy the buzz,,,,,

If you really wanna catch a FAST buzz, get some Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA. At 9%, if you mow through a 4-pack in an hour or so, you will be feeling good and tipsy. Then you can start in on the Miller Lite
