I heard that Mexicans think the same thing about Corona, but I love that stuff too.

Agreed it is good stuff. I am a Budweiser drinker mostly, but I venture into the exotic domestics from time to time. I just tried "3 Floyds Gumball head" really really good stuff! I am often seen drinking Stroh's beer too! 8), hey if it was good enough for my grandpa then its good enough for me. Anyone else like that old man beer taste?

I'm not huge on Corona myself. When it comes to drinking a wetback brew, I prefer Negra Modelo, Dos Equis Lager, and Sol. Nega Modelo/Dos Equis are easily found, but Sol isn't easy to find. Sol is basically like Corona but it's got a more refined aftertaste. Corona just has that funny bit of an aftertaste - Sol takes care of that and basically tastes very similar otherwise. I wouldn't mind tracking a case of it down. Even the local special beer stores don't have it in very often around here.

Miller High Life? Barf. I think I'd rather drink Old Style.

I don't usually go for cheap-ass beer, but hey, sometimes you have to, when you're between payday or when you're at someone else's event and that's all you have available... LOL... Miller Lite or Bud Light is about as low as I will go. Corona or Pacifico are my choice in the summer... still love Rolling Rock... can't turn down Guiness, but that's a 1-2 max before I switch. Love it but more than a couple is too much with a heavy one like that.

Can't beat the microbrews. 312 is one of my new faves (thanks Matt!!... um... or B... whichever of you brought that  )
Goose Island rocks. The Honker's Ale is classic.

And of course, when sushi is on the menu - a nice frosty Sapporo is just heaven.

I gotta take the credit for the 312... great beer indeed. It's just got a great, excellent balanced taste, not overkill on the sweetness like a lot of wheat beers [eg Blue Moon].

Ah ha... yep I thought that was you. But, well... some of the details from that trip are still sort of fuzzy.

And yes, definitely a great choice. :D

I can see him floundering through the parking lot at Miller Park trying to bum beers off of people by telling them that he's related to Bernie Brewer.

Bleh. But... I shouldn't talk. I used to say the same about Bud Light, and I learned to tolerate, dare I say like it.
Especially the BL LIme, thanks to... Lynn or Mel, whichever one of you was talking about it on here... man, that shit is great.
I wouldn't have tried it without endorsement because I hated Miller Chill (and I've always been a Miller girl, so that one surprised me).

BL Golden Wheat, at least the one I tried, was gross. Seriously tasted like water. I do like Bud Light Lime a lot, though.

Miller High Life was the cause of a seroius disappointment.

WHen I was a kid I had to crazy uncles, hair down to their asses, wild girlfriends. They both lived in trailer houses in a trailer park. on the edge of town. Id ride up to see them on my bike and could hear their 8 track stereos blasting out alice cooper, kiss, and led zepplin lived in a trailer park with their girlfriends on the edge of town. One think they had in common, both trailer houses were always full of empy miller high life bottles.

So were the trunks of their cars (both of them Dodge Dart Swingers if memory serves me right) .

I grew up thinking , when Im grow up, Im gonna have long hair wild girlfriends, play loud rock music, and drink gallons of Miller High Life.

So the day comes when Im old enought ot get into the the liquor store and obtain beer. I eagerly buy 2 six packs of high life , all fired up. GOD What a major dissapointment. My opinon of my crazy uncles knocked down a couple of pegs.

thanks

Matt

I hear ya. I have a former in-law (ex's uncle) who was a total alcoholic, racist, judgemental loudmouthed d-bag, who got wasted on MHL all the time, so now I always associate that beer with him. I see the label and immediately think of him. That might be another reason I won't touch it... LOL
