Funny timing on this one, Tom... this week is the "Crosstown Classic" here... Cubs vs. ChiSox. That's something that was done here, before interleague play, as just kind of a fun thing for the fans of the Chicago teams... now that it's actually counts it's a bigger deal, I guess. They still call it the Crosstown Classic which is kind of weird... it's not a special event anymore, since it's part of the normal schedule. To me, it doesn't really matter... I like baseball but with so many games per season, I find I don't follow it - too much to keep up with. So maybe I'm arguing against it and I don't realize it?

Interleague play is stupid imo unless your state has multiple teams that play each other it really doesn't make a difference it's just another game.

Horse shit. Your problem is you have a shitty club in the Brewers and your interleague rival is the Twins. Tell the people of LA that the Dodgers/Angels isn't big, or the NY Subway series, or Philly/Boston. Sure there is the Tigers/Pirates and Royals/Diamondbacks, but there are far greater games than shitty ones.

Interleague play is all about creating geographical rivalries and making money. Some, like the Mets-Yankees, Cubs-White Sox, Angels-Dodgers and Phillies-Red Sox, are going to occur naturally and the others may take some time. Ultimately, MLB is looking for, and getting, one thing ... packed ballparks. Personally, I like the idea.

He probably thinks the Brewers are still in the American League, and they play interleague all season long. Oh wait a min, he probably wasn't born then.

Wrong!! Yankees own interleague play with a record of 133-95, with those same Twinkees you miraculously beat ONE game behind at 132-96.

The ATL is somewhere in the middle of the pack....I'm sure Tebow had something to do with the win tonight, right?

not sure Tebow had anything to do with it but young 2nd year pitcher Kris Medlen damn sure mowed the Twins over along with Troy Glaus who went 4 for 5 with 2 HRs.......and the hot Braves took 2 of 3 from the 2nd best AL-NL record team

I didnt like Astro Turf, domed stadiums, league playoffs, divisoinal playoffs, the designated hitter , or when they started selling the beer in plastic bottles.

I got over most of those things. I wasnt big on interleague play either, but I see the benefit in it now.
