Oh...you mean how it took an O-fer from Ray Allen for L.A. to win tonight...yeah, I get what you mean. And like it took Allen getting in early foul trouble in Game 1 for L.A. to win that one too....Refs had too big of a presense in that game....face it.

The refs made Allen miss his shots tonight?

Nobody here said that.... :?

It's the implication - that the other team never "wins"...

Question - has Boston ever been beaten - fair and square - by another team...in the playoffs, regular season, whenever...

btw - I despise the Lakers - but they were clearly the better team tonight...

If by better you mean their best shooter didn't pitch an O-fer, then yes, L.A. was better...but my take was legitimate...if Allen even hits 3 shots, Boston wins....and you know IF Kobe ever went ofer, the same stuff would be said from the other side....

Dude, but he didn't, he whiffed, that's the point of getting it done and not getting it done. Allen couldn't hit jack but that means absolutley nothing to the fact that L.A was the overall better team last night while Boston just couldn't put the ball in the hoop, it's really THAT easy. Watching KoBE is unreal, the dude is all over the place and hustles like no other.

Boston needs Pierce, Garnett and Allen to have a good day, not 1 of the three, or two of the three or Boston is going to have an early exit. Good luck going back to L.A, this will be over soon.

Not over soon.

I see this series going 7 one way or another. They aren't going back to LA yet. It will likely be 2-2 headed back to LA where they should theoretically each hold home court from then until game 7 comes up. At that point, it's anyone's ball game - the two most recent champs: one features one of the best ever and the other is a great competitive team with 3 (arguably 4 if Rondo keeps this up) future hall of famers.

Kobe is only averaging 27 points. If he gets his groove on, it's going to be hell for the Celtics.

Please, everyone does that. The Lakers do it, the Celtics do it. Geez, I did it when I played City League ball. Its part of the sport and sometimes you get away with it, sometimes you don't. Do I like it when it goes against my Team? No, but I know its part of the game.

It was game 3. Glen sent a tape of the game to the league office, complaining of flops and illegal screens:...

I really hate Gasol... like really seriously hate him. I'd love to see these so-called centers like Gasol and Howard play in the days of prime Shaq, Hakeem, Mutombo, Mourning, Ewing, and the Admiral... let alone the legends from the 80s and before. They'd get laughed at.

Some of the worst floppers in the NBA bring that crap over here

play dead?!?! ... :?

Gasol-Spain
Divac-Yugoslavia
Ginobili-Argentina

I remember Stockton flopping around some, but Vlade was definitely the worst. I was embarrassed and its my team.

And yeah MG, it was pretty bad. I love Anita, I only heard it on the Radio and thought that it sounded like her but I thought no way. I was wrong.

Entertaining if not pretty game tonight. Kobe = 38, other 11 lakers = 48. As I said, the LA team is not nearly as good as it looked on paper. They could very well still win the series pending Kobe snapping the next 2 games, but Boston is the better team as I've said throughout this thread. I laughed at the people calling the series over when it was 2-1 LA.

I don't get the NBA. To instant replay or not? Did the ball touch the rim at the end of the game with about 1:41 left or not? I saw it as missing completely, thus fucking LA over. Anybody have a different take?

Yes ...I was in a loud and busy atmoshpere
trying to watch this game, so forgive me if I missed a thing or two!! But, even if one had missed the game all together and had just seen
this>>> KOBE-38, rest of the team-48, that should be enough to tell you that Kobe had his hands on the ball entirely too much!! It was the
Kobe of old ...before he became a team player and earned his MVP!!! They may win games like this, but NOT titles ...this is the mantra/formula
that my favorite teams live by!! LA's formula?!?! A player may touch the ball for the length of time it takes them to pass it to KB!!!
Boston was the better TEAM, plain and simple!!! Pierce was incredible, but not by himself!!
I love to watch a great team at work ...the Kobe show bores me!! Perhaps they'll play nice, together, when they're back in LA ...
