“We came out of the box with some good stuff the first time we came out of the box,” Sullivan said about his the band’s new music. “Once you set the bar, you’re stuck.”

Well....“We came out of the box with some good stuff the first time we came out of the box,” Sullivan said about his the band’s new music. “Once you set the bar, you’re stuck.”

One thing that is crazy is the concert world today and the prices. I can remember when a real headliner ticket was around $25, now tickets START at $30 for Survivor at a local fair....A headliner is around $100, which is crazy if you ask me...throw in a couple of beers, nachos and (if you dare) a t-shirt) and you are out an easy couple of hundred....I love rock and roll!

To the best I can tell, it's a quote on songwriting itself. As in, once you start writing songs at a certain level, you are unwilling to release anything that doesn't get to that level in the future. Whether that translates as writer's block, or whatever, who knows, but it means he's not going to release a cd just to release a cd--he's going to wait until he has the right songs before releasing anything. Take from that what you will...

Return to Survivor / Jim Peterik / Toby Hitchcock / Pride Of Lions / Marc Scherer / Sir Jimi (RIP)
