It would probably be better if he toured solo and played smaller clubs and blues venues. The Neal Schon Band didn't do anything for me either, but Neal's solo playing does. Neal's guitar playing is amazing - I would pay to hear just him playing his own songs. I think his talent was often overshadowed by the focus on Steve Perry's vocals, so why put together a band and do that all over again? Just play your own stuff!
