That's why I said "is?" ... as previously mentioned, I don't watch football - I just remember Cade was #8...

Of course it's not a physical sport compared to football. Duh! Jesus dude, you're really on repeat today. A football player wouldn't last ten minutes in a soccer match; they lack the finesse, stamina, technique and years of experience. The only thing you need to be a decent football player is either a big ass body or being fast. Don't make me repeat the stuff I've already told you about soccer. You don't like it, fine. So get the fuck out.

Damn; England blows by the way. They have a bunch of good players, but can't seem to get their shit together at all when playing together. Just the first match though, but Capello got a lot resting on his shoulders.

I am now. All she talked about was the fucking sock monkey (Obama), how the BP catstrophe is totally out of his hands, how unfair the shit being hurled at him is and what a wonderful president he is. She had a few funny moments, but, overall, it was way too political. But the guy who opened up for her was fucking hilarious!

that's too bad she made it so political. A few jokes or comments are fine but not when they go overboard. Too bad, cause she can be really funny. Oh, and she "came out"'last year I guess. When the gay marriage vote was happening in CA. I guess it's a big deal for someone in the black community to admit being gay. It's even less accepted?

Then she started babbling about how her French "wife" is white, 10 years younger and has a great ass. She talked about how they adopted twins and what it's like raising them. I wanted to scream "Say something FUNNY, Buckwheat!!!" but I decided against it because my mom probably would have slapped the shit out of me.  There were a LOT of gays and lesbians there (myself excluded  ) ... so she made it a point to talk about how Obama has done a great job of taking "Don't ask, don't tell" slowly and that he'll eventually overturn it. Like I give a fuck about any of these topics when I came here to laugh! :x Thankfully, the tickets were free and the guy that opened was absolutely hysterical. I found myself flipping through the pages of their upcoming shows most of the show. Cinderella (the band) is coming in a few weeks. I'm there!  8)

Good your mom was there to keep you under control

I know what you mean. I mean it doesn't even matter what side you are on with an issue, if it's too in your face, it feels more like an agenda than comedy. It's fine in moderation, I don't mind a little of it, but when the whole show becomes an agenda it would lose it for me too. I enjoyed Robin Williams when we saw him. I mean his title made you figure it would be political, and sure he had politics involved. But he bashed both sides in some ways, and then so much of his routine had nothing to do with politics it made him very funny. They need to have a balance!

I didn't know Cinderella was touring  I liked them

USA were cheated out of their last goal and win by a blind ref. This time around they deserve to win to secure a playoff spot!

Amazingly, and by the narrowest of margins both USA and England squeeze through into the last 16. It was nailbiting stuff, but I think the best two teams from the group did prevail in the end. Certainly England, after a close game with the US and a disastrous game against Algeria, played MUCH better today and could (and should) have scored 3 or 4 more goals.

And for the USA, having been denied at least two perfectly good goals by poor refereeing decisions, it would have been a shame if they didn't go through.

England's road forward looks tough. They have the possibility of getting Germany and Argentina if things play out right.

Well, we have scores to settle with both teams :)

Also, there is no guarantee that Germany will even qualify. They have to beat Ghana to be sure. Anything less and they could still be pipped by Serbia OR Australia (now that would be a real turnaround, after their first game thrashing).

Whatever. Fine. Play it tomorrow and get that shit off my tv. Fuck I hate this shit.

I actually watch a game, and the US gets a goal taken away because, well, I don't know why.....corruption perhaps? This sport is FULL of corruption.

I knew France weren't going to do well. I said that earlier - mainly because of Domenech. He's a disgrace and a fiasco.

How could you say Brazil is going to end up in the final btw? Their team sucks. The only good player they got is Maicon. Dunga is already struggling. Argentina is going to do well though, mostly because of Messi. That dude is, without a doubt, the worlds greatest soccer player atm. Ivory Coast and Ghana got some great talents too - André Ayew is one of them. Hopefully Arsenal can pick him up soon.

And Deano, the goal was taken away because of what's called the offside rule. Google it.

*

But it was still judged as a offside, St. Smegma.

Soccer don't have any video judging, everything is judged on the spot by the referees. So if it was a offside is irrelevant, it's wether or not it's judged as one which is important. Soccer 101, dude!

X10000... therere should never be ties... if this is your superbowl for soccer... no games should end 0-0... just saying...
thats why soccer sucks... get 1 win and 2 ties and you win your group... WHAT is up with that...

NBC is already promoting the HAll of Fame football game to air in about 6 weeks... ;-) Training camp NFL style to open a month from now...
