Seinfeld to Lady Gaga: "Get an act"

NEW YORK -- Lady Gaga's antics at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field have raised the ire of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who ripped her on a New York radio station on Monday night.

"I'm not one of these all-publicity-is-good people," Seinfeld said on WFAN. "People talk about you need exposure -- you could die of exposure ... I don't understand how this is good for her, but I'm sure she understands her milieu better than I ever could."

Seinfeld was linked to Lady Gaga on July 10, when the singer was escorted to his empty luxury box at Citi Field without his permission after she was caught on camera in the stands at a New York Mets game giving the finger to photographers and fans. "This woman is a jerk. I hate her," Seinfeld joked. "I can't believe they put her in my box, which I paid for ... You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we're living in now? It's pathetic. And why is she giving the finger? How old is the finger? How'd it even get to be the finger? Somewhere along the line somebody decided this is the bad finger."

Seinfeld also said of Lady Gaga, "You take one 'A' off of that and you've got gag."

And he was just getting started. "I don't know what these young people think or how they promote their careers," Seinfeld said. "I'm older, you know, I'm 56. I look at Lady Gaga the way Keith Hernandez watches these kids when they pull the pocket out, they wear the inside-out pocket. ... Do you think he could understand that? He can't understand that. That's a new game, that's kids."

Later in the interview, it was pointed out that Lady Gaga created a stir by inviting herself into the New York Yankees' clubhouse last Friday night. "Oh please," Seinfeld said. "Wake me when it's over. Get an act. Rhinestone bikinis and giving people the finger."

"She is talented," he added. "I don't know why she's doing this stuff."

Some people recently told me about some wild rumor that Lady Gaga is supposedly a dude. Anyone hear of that one?

Good for Jerry. I don't understand her schlit(sp?) either. Everybody thinks she's a talented singer (not me, though, but could be a generational thing there). If she's so good, why not just let her singing do the promoting?

http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2009/ ... -offended/\

It's a rumor that has taken the Internets by storm ever since she was seen at a concert in the UK sporting what appeared to be a penis under her dress:

Lady Gaga is a hermaphrodite.

While she has been getting naked for numerous magazines we've never heard of and teaming up on some new songs with Michael Bolton (yes, really), the star has yet to address the accusations that she has both male and female genitalia.

Until now. And her vagina is far from pleased.

About the hermaphrodite rumors, Lady Gaga told Australian radio station: "My beautiful vagina is very offended. I'm not offended; my vagina is offended."

"I'm not embarrassed. I sold four million records in six months; I'm not embarrassed about anything. I think this is society's reaction to a strong woman."

"The idea that we equate strength with men and a penis is a symbol of male strength, you know, it is what it is. But like I said," the dance-pop diva reiterated, "I am not offended at all, but my vagina might be a little bit upset."

Good God, it's worse than I thought...the lady has no self-humility at all. Compared to her, Madonna lives in a convent.

Everything she does is calculated. I'm not much of a fan of her songs but I love watching her and her crazy outfits.

Oh, what a short memory you have.

Re Gaga, even her fans think she's gone too far with the over-the-top antics in public places. After the Seinfeld box outing where she was in a bathing suit, she shows up again to another ballgame in her bra and panties and fishnets, with a shirt wide open and tied up short to show it and her antics after the game in the locker room, or wherever it was, and the week before that showing up at her sister's graduation with a beekeeper's hat on and netting over her hat, a real look-at-me appearance, when it should have been about the seniors on their graduation day, not about her, I feel she's buying into her own hype and has jumped the shark She's acting like a Madonna wannabe. She is very talented, but even her fans are saying she needs to stop this and save it for on stage and red carpet appearances.

Seinfeld is a fucking loser. I never thought any of his jokes were funny. He is the one who needs to get an act.

Agreed. I've heard his elementary level "insults" from at least 2-3 other sources before he ever said it, and he sounds bitter.

His audience always sounded so tired, like they were being forced to laugh because of a prompter, but it was a dull lifeless laugh - and then I would say, "Oh, yeah, it's time to laugh at Jerry... he's so funny... ha ha ha." Not! The only real laughs from the audience would come from Kramer acting like a clown.

Have you ever watched Seinfeld on Larry King Live? He is a narcissist for sure.

Seinfeld, the TV show, is brilliant.

And he was down here a few years ago, and my brother's wife had free tickets for some reason. He did not want to go. He didn't think his stand-up act would be funny. He said he had a headache from laughing so much. He raved about his show.

fact is; if u have talnt then there's no need to dew nything besides sing or use the instrument. is it talent or gimmickry...after awhle of reinventing urself over and over again you become known for sensationalism and not what your God given talent might be. give me james taylor and carole king sweet and simple and extremely talented after all thse yrs without having to find something new to attract people with besides their amazing voices. i think that is why toy story is so freakin amazing. it's just good. no gore. no porn. just a story and funny.

I realize that his show had millions of fans, but it was not humorous to me at all - except for maybe when Kramer would act like an idiot. I'm more into comedy like Jack Black and Will Ferrell type stuff. Seinfeld's dry jokes just never seemed funny to me - I couldn't understand why people were laughing. Kind of like Jay Leno's lame jokes.

Im a big Seinfeld fan. The series though not Jerry.
I think "Kramer" and "George" made that show. Sure Jerry had input with Larry to make it a hit that it is,,,and sure I like Jerrys sense of humor and comedy,,, but as far as his acting, he is one of the worse actors EVER!

Ditto! His acting is HORRIBLE!! He could barely keep a straight face! But the show needed him for his comedy and he did have a hand in a lot of the writing. And I like his humor.
