Name the WORST example of a band using it's name and truly deceiving the public....doesn't matter if they kick ass or not.

I gotta say...The Little River Band....followed by the totally fraudulent Marshall Tucker Band...followed by...War....

Journey, Styx, Survivor,Foreigner come to mind. All jealous guitarists as I have said before, GO AWAY !!! I will pay to see Perry ( if ever) Dennis DeYoung( great show) Jimi Jamison (great show) & Lou Gramm has improved his voice after the brain surgery. Also SEE Boston , Kansas & Aerosmith as some of our rockers & their fans aren't getting any younger !

Little River Band got a little cred back when Wayne rejoined but as he's not an original member and their playlist is dominated by Birtles, Shorrock and Goble tunes, you could almost call them a BSG tribute band.
Foreigner has as many original members as War does, enough said (I like Kelly with Foreigner but it is what it is).
Chicago may have four original members left but they sure don't resemble what that band once was.

Add Foghat to the list also.

wow, that's just messed up. They don't have a single original member or any of the core members of the band. They are not even an Australian band any longer...but a US touring band. That's like still calling it Journey without Perry/Cain/Neal/Ross/Gregg and the band doing nothing but touring Asia. Their last bit of credibility was lost in the late 90's after Shorrock, and Derek Pellicci left, along with some other good players.

They are not a BSG tribute band because BSG should have been allowed to use the name. LRB is just a band that have the rights to the name by quirky circumstance but do not resemble the original band at all.

Well, I thought the Doobie Brothers were great; their new stuff sounds really promising too.

Chicago ... ugh ... the best vocals of the night were by the audience chick who paid big bucks to the American Cancer Society to get on stage and sing with them. :(

Ya, the band sounded good, but their vocals sucked when I saw them on American Idol this year too. LOL, Lee was the only vocals that sounded ok in that performance, Chicago's vocalist with the red bass, his vocals were all over the place and very pitchy. :o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTpdzsfNHi0

Can't top those...

I was gonna say Foreigner and Thin Lizzy...But since I don't really care what those bands do, it doesn't really bother me much.
