If You Had a Difficult Weekend, Blame the Eclipse

Postby rockinfayrose » Mon Jun 28, 2010 1:57 pm

On June 26, 2010, we had a powerful Full Moon Lunar Eclipse with the Sun in Cancer and the Moon exactly opposite in Capricorn. Eclipses come twice a year, and they always come in pairs – a lunar eclipse followed by a solar eclipse – a fortnight later. The corresponding solar eclipse falls on July 11. This partial lunar eclipse will be visible over Western US and Canada, Alaska, Antarctica, Australia, the Middle East and East Asia.

Once upon a time, eclipses were feared as harbingers of doom but today they are recognized as important staging points in our path of personal development when – if you choose – we can become more fully yourselves. Eclipses, however, have proven to coincide with difficult events in the outside world as well.

During a solar eclipse, the Moon is positioned in between the Sun and Earth, cutting of the light of the Sun. A solar eclipse always occurs during a new Moon and is considered to denote the start or beginning of something new in our lives. A lunar eclipse, on the other hand, occurs when the Earth is positioned between the Moon and the Sun, cutting off the light of the Sun from the Moon. Lunar eclipses always occur during a full Moon and are supposed to mark the end of something in life.

What a Lunar eclipse requires is that you balance two opposites in your life. For example you need to be a strong individual as well as be compromising in a relationship. You need to be of service to yourself as well as to others. You need to give space in your life to friends as well as to loved ones. You need to protect your own security as well as co-operate over money. You need to pay attention to detail as well as keeping the big picture in mind.

This particular lunar eclipse aligns with other major celestial influences, with seven planets participating and it is going to carry a big punch! The eclipsed Moon will be exactly conjunct with Pluto in Capricorn against a backdrop of a square between Uranus and Pluto, as well as squares with Jupiter and Uranus both in Aries and Saturn in Virgo also in a square alignment forming a Grand Cross in astrology, which is a big event.

But be prepared – things may get intense and you may get more than one hint about areas in your life that need radical changes...

So did anyone feel this aspect or was it life as "normal"?

Been having a horrible past week and felt completely out of sync with everything. Hope the next one isn't as volatile.

Tell you honestly, I've had the best week of my life in years. Like all the things that pissed me off just suddenly vanished and I felt like nothing could bother me. Likewise, I went on a trip over the weekend and had a blast! Haven't really enjoyed a trip in a good long time.

But today...feels like the start of all the other weeks that wasn't last week. Apparently, it had an opposite effect on me.

Actually I had a very good weekend and loved watching that full moon rise in the evenings. Saturday night was especially great.
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

This little act is getting tired. I see right through it. You relentlessly say blame Bush for everything, and hopefully you'll get others to see that Bush wasn't at fault for everything, thus making the "blame Bush" moniker seem pretty weak; yet there is still plenty that he is at fault for. The guy deserves every ounce of blame for what he has done.

I agree Deano... If Bush had his way, the oil leak would STILL be going strong, the economy would be getting weaker, healthcare would be getting passed even though the majority of this country don't want it, and he'd be doing charity gigs while all of this would be going on. Oh wait, wrong president... sorry!

Well, as far as astrology goes, yeah most of it is a hoax...however, the planets do exist, they have an effect on people/the world and there is a science and mysticism to the whole study of it. Plus, we were all born with an astrological sign which adds to our personalities and differences whether we like it or not. I think the problem lies with these 'so-called' astrologer interpretations which discredit the topic for many.

Interesting read, thx for sharing

I think you will find I was simply being silly quoting Jim Morrison rather than trying to start a debate about astrology :D

Now that you mention it; astrology so works! I mean, I'm a leo, and I read yesterday that I was about to wear sneakers, and fuck me, I wore sneakers! Jupiter is the man! Hopefully Neptune will have my back the next time - I'm seriously in need of some business advice.

Astrology is retarded, age old bullshit. Just like homeopathy, detoxing or those psychics.
