She also had rose petals all over the bed and he just brushed them off and got in bed and rolled over and went to sleep. Nice Valentine's Day for her.

Was that another interview or did I miss that?

That was another interview. She never said it in interviews, but a lot of people think he's gay.

Well, one couple married. One couple, he realized out of the last two he picked the wrong one and a few months later backtracked and said he made a mistake. He is now married to the other one. Once couple lived together for four years and just recently broke up. Another couple dated, maybe lived together, for two years. Ed and Jillian are living together, engaged now for like nine months or more. Oh, and another couple lived together for over a year but never married.
Another one I forgot, the wine heir guy. They were engaged and lived together like a year and a half or so until she broke it off and broke his heart.

So really not horrible statistics for relationships developing on the show. Marriage, not so much.

I couldn't do it unless I was Bret Michaels. The contestant role is the worst. How many times do you hear the "prize" talking about how they really need this guy or that guy to come out of his shell and show they can fall completely for them? Right, with 4-6 other contestants still in the mix. Expect them to compete, sure, but wanting them to basically give you the same emotion they would in a one-on-one relationship is asking them to be fools. It's natural that any person in that environment would be wise to be emotionally guarded. I don't see any way to fall head over heels for someone in that environment before the end of the show. At most, I can understand being in "like" with them enough to want to pursue the relationship after the show. Nuts that anyone would be willing to propose that soon.

Trista and Ryan were the real deal. The rest of them all suck.

My favorite reality show of all time had to be "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire", with that dude Rick Rockwell and Darva Conger. I e-mailed him once and he e-mailed me back hocking a book he wrote. :)

I just can't wait for Bachelor Pad!

Just kidding. I don't know what's worse:
1. I saw a preview for it and actually looked at the TV (while shaking my head in disgust).
2. My wife will most likely watch it and try to get me to watch it with her.
3. I am wasting 30 seconds of my life I can never get back typing this right now!

I'd have to be one first, but that would be fun!! The first question I'd ask
ea. of them...what's the matter with you?!? There must be some problem if
you can't find love outside of TV land ...please write a 100 word essay and
get back with me in 24 hrs ...the first elimination would be based on the answers
and maybe the second and third ...!!

Molly and Jason make a wonderful couple. She is down to earth, smart, and was very much in love, but they really took into consideration his child while pursuing their relationship before marrying.

I never saw Ryan coming. I thought it was Charlie. But Ryan was so in love with Trista, and they have definitely stood the test of time. She made a good pick.

Jillian's guy, though, is a freak. I don't see them lasting. When it came out he was texting and trying to sleep with exes when he left to go back to work b/f returning. He is very immature. She should have picked that guy that flew back and bought a ring on his own dime. I forgot his name. He was more genuine. I thought Ed was until the two girls' interviews about him and his shenanigans.

Love that show, though, because I love him. It's great to watch those girls go crazy for fame/$$$$!! Everyone gets what

Yeah. She saw things in Ryan even in his akwardness; whereas, I was looking at hot Charlie. LOL Not that Ryan didn't have an unbelievable body.

I was stunned when Jason picked Melissa b/c I could see how much he cared for Molly. But Molly's reaction when he didn't choose her was so moving. She knew they were meant to be together. But, obviously, he knew pretty soon after he had made a huge mistake and had such feelings for Molly. They went through a lot. I had no idea until their interview when they got married. All the bloggers and fans hated him for admitting he made a mistake and wanted Molly. She said it was really rough. But they weathered it plus dating long distance for a while was hard, too.

Care would be overstating it for me, but I do feel bad for her in that I believe she thought she had found a good guy who was her fairytale come true and he used and treated her very badly. She may be "the bad girl", but I keep forgetting how young she is and I do think she has been hurt.

Well love is a bitch.....I think that we all know it.

True, but that doesn't make it alright for someone to get used and treated badly, whether they met on a television show or at the local Starbucks! She fell for him thinking he was sincere - I thought he was a nice guy when he was on the show, but I'm naive.

Re: Jake & Vienna

Rip Rokken wrote:Good Lord! I had the misfortune of walking past the TV while "The Bachelorette" was on and seeing the bump for the Jake & Vienna segment. Naturally curious, I had to watch. All three segments of it.

What an absolutely horrid couple. I know people in fairy-tale land like to separate these characters into heroes, victims & villains, and these clowns know that so they play off of it to the utmost. Let me start with Jake. What a completely unadulterated, amateur-hour COCK this guy is. Dude was all smarm and smirk, playing for the cameras. No pulse, no emotion, no human element to the guy whatsoever, and he had nothing at all of substance to say. It was all very abstract and self-directed, like "All I can say, Chris, is I'm utterly stunned at how she could do this to me", or "I knew it was going south, but I was still determined to fight for the relationship". Just non-specific soundbyte drivel. I could tell he's one of these guys who lives in his own image fantasy of being intriguing, complex, mysterious, charming, well-traveled, a man of exquisite tastes -- all that faux-Yuppie Richard Gere / James Bond wannabe B.S. When he finally did give some examples, they were mainly about how she "undermined him" constantly. Never acknowledged her feelings a single time and the way he talked about her, it was pretty obvious he only needed her to fill the arm candy role. He literally said at the beginning, "I'm not afraid of anything. I've done nothing wrong." I wanted to kick him in the nutsack.

Now Vienna, she ruined any chance she had of gaining victim sympathy (from anyone with a brain anyway). Histrionic, unreasonable, and also equally as incapable of fathoming any responsibility. She was just on a mission to tear him down, starting with selling all the sordid details of their failing relationship to a tabloid -- her justification was that she knew he would do it if she didn't. Crazy ditz also didn't let him get a word edgewise, and I doubt he ever completed more than a sentence before she interrupted and started amping up the drama. The pinnacle of the "interview" was when we got to see a glimpse of his power as he forcefully commanded her to silence, hand motion and all. She immediately started bawling and said that's what their whole relationship had been like and stormed off, cameras following to capture the fullness of her meltdown.

Amazingly, they continued into a 3rd segment and it was good she wasn't there so he could actually string 3-4 words together without interruption. Not that it mattered. He was as fake as a $3 bill and it was pretty obvious. Except for maybe the next aspiring Bachelorette who falls for that Prince Charming, pilot image.

that there was this much to say about this is frightning... ;-)

Well I watched the interview on YouTube and  . If Vienna is lying she deserves an Academy Award - no one is that good, including most Oscar winners - I think her emotion is real. If all Jake has to accuse of her of cheating on national television was finding a gay seamstress in their apartment delivering a dress and a picture of her in a group of people at a charity event and going to a group lunch, he isn't very convincing and if he had more, he would have said so.

He's playing the public's perception of her and it isn't working, although I agree she should have waited until he gave an interview before going public. While it is frustrating when someone keeps interrupting you, it's more frustrating to sit there and listen to someone lying. Considering what his other ex had to say on 'ET', he is not looking good in this or at least a lot worse than Vienna. He gave her directions and she took out a GPS - that's a reason to freak out that she's undermining him?! And she wanted to try something different with the furniture? A woman decorating? OMG! So what if she tries something and it doesn't work - then they arrange the furniture according to his precise calculations. What a baby.

As for who's the fame whore - this is his second round on a reality show, he went on 'DWTS', and he got an agent instead of going back to flying. Vienna got a regular job working for a marketing firm for a charity. Hmm...

I knew this was only a matter of time. After she found out he had tried to hook up, or did hook up with a couple old girlfriends during the show and after, while proclaiming his love, why she didn't bolt then was silly. He was never going to commit:

Former Bachelorette Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski have called off their engagement, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

"I love him and I'm really sad, but I have to look out for me," Harris, 29, tells the new issue of US Weekly.

Swiderski, 30, added, "We're both kind of resetting. Jillian isn't happy and I'm definitely sad about the whole thing, but we got to work through some things on our own if we decide to move forward.
Jillian -- an interior designed from Alberta, Canada -- gave Ed the final rose during the fifth season of ABC's The Bachelorette in November of 2009.

She then re-located to Ed's hometown of Chicago, and moved in with him. Although they had announced their intent to marry, they never publicly set a date.

Bret Michaels isn't looking for love either, he just wants a temporary travel/sleep mate!!
Love that show, though, because I love him. It's great to watch those girls go crazy for fame/$$$$!! Everyone gets what
they're looking for here, it's a win win!! Bret can get what he's looking for anywhere, why not make it into TV ratings, Brilliant!!

Bret actually has a long time girlfriend who lives in his Arizona home and his the mother of their two adorable kids, she was in the ambulance with him when he was transported to the hospital and stayed by his side the entire time.

I hope what happened to Bret recently had made him take a bit of an inventory of his Rock of Love Tour....I think he
may already have his rock at home.

Ever notice, the gals have a better long term track record. Trista and Jillian......lol I think gals tend to think it thru a little more.

Oh yeah, it barely scratched the surface. Is the full interview online yet?
