Caveman's FB Message

Postby Chubby321 » Wed Jul 07, 2010 2:05 pm

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

After almost thirty years of making records, I still get surprised that there is so little morality in this business. I got shocked again, just today.....

I wonder what that was all about? I don't think he's working on Journey stuff right now.

I read that KS passage and what grabbed me was "30." That's about how long Journey has been making records with Shirley. My money says this has absolutely everything to do with the Saints in Journey.

That's a stretch. He mentioned how long he's been in the business, almost 30 years. Sometimes a sentence means what it means, nothing more.

Re it being Journey, the majority of the album is done for Journey. They're not coming back until fall with just a little more to do.

I read on his facebook page awhile back that he was having trouble with Black Country--specifically Glenn Hughes--and maybe one or two others in the band over money.

I also just read this:

" George Howe Caveman!, My wife has been a huge Steve Perry fan for over 30 years. I read this post on Melodic Rock this week : "It is rumored former vocalist Steve Perry recently handed Kevin Shirley solo material to mix and master.” Are you able to confirm this for Steves millions of fans, who have patiently waited many years for ...any news of Steves return. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Geordie

This is ridiculous. I have been working with Journey, and Arnel is singing. I (and the Journey guys, including Arnel) love Steve, but this is just a silly rumor!"

I don't think the comment Kevin is quoted on in this thread is about Journey as much as the haters want it to be.

Hmmm, I wasn't thowing it around like a Pinhead. I was thowing it out there as a defender of Neal, which has nothing to do with the Pinheads and more to do with some fans' intense dislike of Neal.

They're coming back in Nov to redo it all with Perry, and turn some of his new solo stuff into Journey.
That's the real reason for the break this summer. Ha.

Then after that he'll be working with the Mr Big guys on their new album, so no worries Jana, after Journey, they'll turn Kevin's frown into a smile. :D :P
