In Iowa last year our local stations and ESPN covered Harrison Barnes Decesion to go to North Carolina #1 recruit in the nation... so this to me is the same kind of thing... this is pretty amazing...
I wonder if Favre is jealous now, that he didnt think of this, when he left GB...
Teams, some in LeBron James camp caught off-guard by television program
Wed Jul 07,2010 9:59 AM ET By Kurt Helin
You thought the LeBron James television special idea came out of the blue, imagine the teams that have been courting him?
According to Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, officials from the teams that met with LeBron did not know of the television special until the word broke on ESPN last night. Here is his tweet:
Teams & even several people in James own camp were blindsided when hearing about ESPN show.
I'm told none of LeBron's suitors know his decision. It seems possible of all them could remain in dark leading up to tomorrow night.
ESPN will broadcast LeBron's decision as part of an hour-long special Thursday night. The idea was hatched by LeBron's shrinking inner circle, who took it to ESPN. As part of the deal, LeBron's team will sell sponsorships to the show, with the money going to the Boys & Girls Club of America.
It seems impossible -- and even more egomaniacal -- to have Cleveland learn if its heart is broken on national television. Same with the other cities that will feel shunned if and when James turns his attention to whatever city he chooses.
This all has the potential to be a public relations disaster for James.

I'm guessing NY, but who knows...Seems to me this guy is a heck of a lot more interested in fame and money than championships...I'm no Laker fan (hate them all actually), but on his best day James is not fit to carry Kobe's bag in the gym...some step up...some fade away...you fill in the blanks...

Does that idea somehow..."turn you on" ?

The guy definitely doesn't seem to care about a championship, or he would stay in Cleveland. Now my pick is New Jersey. They can offer more than anyone else, and could probably bag Bosch too. Their owner is Russian billionaire with a ton of international contacts, something James seems to want- international super appeal. My pick- New Jersey.

Really? Still have to beat LA nd that is never happening with Kobe Bryant on the Lakers. Besides, Miami isn't getting all three anyway.

There are 3 teams in the East alone with the potential to win 55 if he goes there (New York, Boston, Miami).
