Or better yet, have an all star tribute to Journey as the opening act, with Fleischman, Augeri, Chalfant, Hunsicker and Soto teaming up with the Cast of Glee.
This made me really, really LOL!!

Yeah, he's a real comedian alright. But he left someone out.

Rolie?

Class? You do know Augeri pissed right in the face of rock n roll by lip syncing right? I don't get where you people all claim he is Mr Class. He is no better than the other scumbags in Journey. Get off the Augeri ass kissing. Remember, he didn't have to do what he did. He could have walked away, but chose to try to deceive the very fans who paid his very nice salary. If Augeri truly had class, he never would have made a mokery of the music.

If anyone can get bands to bury old hatchets, it's Azoff.

Question is, where is the hatchet being buried?

you always blame Augeri for that shit but have you ever considered the pressure he was under to keep that job? He probably lived in fear of saying/doing the wrong thing and pissing off Schon. He refused to miss a show whatever it took, whether right or wrong we werent in his shoes.

If, and only if they ever shared the stage again I could see it being a "come out and sing a song" thing as a special guest, and he'd likely do something like Higher Place or Remember Me. From a concert standpoint, the only way it would/could even remotely happen is if it was a 3 act bill like the Waite/Frampton/Journey bill during the Arrival Tour. But, agree with most that it won't.

I had never even heard of Jeff before Journey hired him. People getting fired is a part of business.

Maybe, but canning someone after sending out press releases welcoming them as a permanent member most certainly is not. I've never seen such an unprofessional, amateur turnaround - especially from a band of Journey's pedigree.

Do you think Jeff had any idea this guy was the hatchet man for Journey's H.R. department?

I'm not sure what happened there. If its like everyone here seems to think, then I agree that it was not done professionally, but then you hear that there were other reasons.

How is Kevin Cronin relevant to the relationship between Journey and Steve Augeri?

The topic turned to Soto and how he was terminated. Jeff didn't know he was fired until the member of another band managed by Azoff told him.

I Heard from a VERY reliable source that SA is still very friendly with Jon Cain. Also, read Deen's "thanks" at the back of the' Revelation' cd...he misses SA and thinks of him as a "brother".
And, for those who care, Steve Augeri is one of the nicest, caring men in the music business. Did anyone ever consider he was just doing what he was told to do? At the time, no one knew how long he would be vocally incapitated...but when the time got longer...it was time to say "au revoir". I, for one, cried my eyes out, because I really enjoyed SA's tenure with the band.
I wish him all the success in the future, because he deserves it! :D
