All engines are hand built though from all that I know about the auto industry. We rebuilt my wife's car engine and it was fun but I never want to do that again.

Maserati, Pagani, Ferrari, Lamborghini...name me one American car that should even be allowed on the same track as one of those beauties.

Come on now 7....those cars costs 200K each. I am sure America could build a 200K car to compete with the Wops. We're talking everyday cars. And as far as racing goes, and tracks, Chevy rules everyone. Ask Jimmie Johnson if he wants to drive a Ford or Dodge or Honda.

Dude
You don't know shit about cars. You're just a GM fanboy
Since when is a 70k corvette an Every day car ?!
You want to compare apple to apple , Dodge Viper snacks the shit out of the vette.
Also Shelby GT 500 Super Snake (720hp) , beat the 625hp corvette last year.
I suggest you invest some of your hard earned money in some car magazines , so you stay on top of things instead of making stupid biased comments based on your own personal preference. Don't get me wrong , the Corvette is an amazing race car. But far from a muscle car. And we sell both Fords and GM , so I get to test drive many of the new line ups and I'm not that impressed with the Chevy Camaro.
Also , if you get a chance to , look up Jay Lenos review of the new Mustang 5.0 ( http://i.autoblog.com/2010/05/26/video- ... ustang-gt/ ) A true Amerucan muscle engine that you can buy for $30k, which if you were to buy an equivalent German car , you'd pay around double that.
Italians DO make the best engines in the world. It just happens to be that they put them in vehicles that you and I will never afford.
Americans DID make a $170k car 5 years ago that was right up there with the Lambos and Ferraris. Can you guess which car it was ?!;)

Design blows, workmanship blows, American cars are pieces of shit and even the automakers themselves know this for a fact. They won't tell you that though because they need to make business. That Auto Trend Blue Angel vs Blue Devil was nothing other then a marketing tool to get fools to purchase that POS.
LOL ...noooo kidding, ride a Japanese woman, drive a Japanese car ...either way,Behshad wrote:The Sushi Hunter wrote:Pay close attention at how rapidly these new Corvettes depreciate and take notes on their resale value. Let me guess , the Japs know how to make car , right. Get the fuck out of here. You're too obsessed with anything oriental. At least American cars will stop when you apply brakes

In analyzing dozens of data recorders in Toyota vehicles involved in accidents, the Department of Transportation instead found that at time of the crashes, the vehicles' throttles were wide open and the brakes not applied, the newspaper reported Tuesday, citing anonymous sources.
That evidence suggests that owners of Toyota and Lexus vehicles who reported their cars accelerated uncontrollably were mistakenly pressing down on the gas pedal rather than the brakes. Though the evidence doesn't exonerate Toyota from two known issues of the problem -- sticky gas pedals and bulky floor mats that may pin the accelerator to the floor, the Journal said.
So the people that DRIVE them need some lessons* ...gas right, brakes left!!AlteredDNA wrote:Actually, the whole "brake problem" is suspect. The article does say that sticky gas pedals and bulky floor mats were issues, but that the failing brakes were due to "user error"...
