The scraped-back hair was not her best look for the wedding, but to have your 51 year old too-cool-for-his shirt rocker guy say, " It could only be us for each other" about you ... that's pretty freakin cool.

I bet the "opening" on Phil Collen's Nubian Chia Pet is about as appetizing as a urinal cake breath mint.

Love Bites? Well, not for Def Leppard lead guitarist Phil Collen.

The British rocker married costume designer Helen L. Simmons on the beach at Florida's Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach resort in a sunset ceremony Friday.

"We've been looking for each other our entire lifetime," Collen tells PEOPLE. "To say we're ecstatic this day has finally come is putting it mildly. It could only be us for each other."

Guests included Collen's Def Leppard bandmates Rick Savage and Vivian Campbell, as well as Muay Thai champion and trainer Jean Carrillo, who served as best man.

The couple, who met on the band's 2008 Sparkle Lounge tour, also added some environmentally friendly touches to their big day.

"We didn't intentionally start out trying to have green wedding," says Collen, 52. "But since it's a natural part of our lifestyle to respect the environment, everything flowed pretty naturally."

They e-mailed their invitations, which were designed by Paperless Post, and their alcohol-free reception meal featured an organic vegetarian and vegan menu since Collen has been meat-free for 27 years.

Simmons, 42, wore a gown by South African designer Adele Wechsler, who specializes in natural fabrics, and Collen's suit was by J. Lindeberg. Their rings were designed by the groom and Krikawa.

I'd hate to put my hand up that dress.....probably get a hand full of balls.

Well I hope he's sincere Linda. But from his past reputation I guess it's hard to believe that. I guess people can change though....

What 'maneuver? He's been married to the same woman for 18 years.

Back in the early 90's I went out with a sister. It was really fun in the beginning....but the spankings became really abusive, so I had to get out of that relationship. So that saying "once you go black....you never go back" isn't all that true....I'm proof of that.

Not sure she HAS a best look...plus...take away the fact that he's in Def Leppard....he looks like the guy who brings in the carts from the parking lot at Safeway....

Tearin' down what doesn't fit one's personal model of "ideal". Love comes in all forms, shapes, sizes, and bubble gum flavors. Cut the girl some slack. It's a bad hairstyle, and she's beautiful to HIM. And that's ALL that matters. Best wishes to them!

Interesting, I didn't see one racist remark. But I guess any time you talk bad or make fun of a black you're racist in this country. Oops, forgot about that for a second.

Maybe, but you race baiters are worse. And if you will, tell me where there has been one disparaging remark, regarding race. People have mentioned that she's black, and that's not being racist, that's just an observation. Just because you mention someone's skin color, it doesn't make you racist.

All of that may change from this post forward, but up until now, there hasn't been one racist comment that I can find.

Back in the 80s I went out with a white guy. It was really fun in the beginning ... but he turned out to be dumb as a rock and a cheating rat-bastard to boot, so I had to get out of that relationship. So that saying "one you go white ... you've got it all right" isn't all that true ...

Implying that you can "read off" any individual person's moral, ethical, intellectual, spiritual, athletic, sexual, whatever prowess or behavior because of their membership in a group based on the color of their skin is pretty much as racist as it comes.

My sentiments, too. It is his choice. And a beautiful girl to the world does not a great wife make. Many beautiful girls are real witches under a ton of silicone and makeup. Rhi, where have ya been! We miss you lady! :D

This IS true!!!  And it really doesnt' matter if she's pretty or not. For me it was just an observation at how terrible a picture that was, and I actually feel bad for her. It's really too bad when women try to over do themselves for their wedding day and make themselves look completely different. Why on earth would you want to look THAT different the day you walk down the aisle?? Her second picture someone posted was MUCH more attractive!!

And for me, this isn't about attractiveness. Phil has a reputation that would rival Tiger woods to me, so I just HOPE he has finally found the right woman. And his last wife was beautiful, very beautiful. But who knows, she may have been bitchy. I don't know or care. I was just reacting to a PICTURE of someone I dont know personally and who doesn't read this board to have their feelings hurt.

"Baiter"? EPIC FAIL.

Sorry, but just because the N-word hasn't made an appearance doesn't mean I'm baiting. For example, why don't you read the post that appeared directly after the one you posted. How obvious must it be?

Actually, stevew2 got loose and ran "up in the tree" smack. THAT was very racist. I also believe versilibre is referring to Voyagers "baboon" smack.

That's what I get for skimming over the thread. Those two could be construed at racist, for sure. I guess "Fucked-up racist motherfuckers" wasn't altogether unwarranted.
