This one is titled: Mrs. Rabbit's new brood CO. Ginger G.

The first one I think I showed you guys before I had finished it, and the new one I have not shown to anyone, except passers by at Starbucks. I love to get feed back guys. It helps to have others let me know if it will be recieved well or not. I am going to be entering some of these in contests soon. Maybe someday I will be the artist formerly known as unknown! LOL!

Sorry the photos are not so clear. It is harder than you think to photograph graphite.

Crickets chirping............Man I must be the most boring artist on the planet. Bump because I am depressed now. LOL!

Very cool, Ginger. Very unique, you definitely have a talent. I couldn't sing or draw to save my life, but I sure appreciate people that can. :)

Thanks Deb. I am trying so hard to start the process of getting my art out there. I just work at it all the time. I am not great at drawing all animals, but I feel with practice, I can learn to draw most. I want to learn to sing well, too. :D

Very, very nice Ginger. I know next to nothing about art other than it is a very difficult thing to do well, so I really can't be constructive... but the talent is obvious!

If you're looking to "get your art out there," I would strongly suggest starting a Web site. My stoner college buddy is an impressive, budding artist. He started a site, here's what I have in mind:

I know, but sites cost money and that will have to wait. I have a site I keep my other work on, kind of an artist site for sharing work. My site is below.

Deano, I can spell. I just don't pay attention sometimes when I post. But thank you once again for your concern. I will record a song and torture........I mean share it with you sometime. How do you feel about Olivia Newton John songs?

You know how much I love your art, Ginger. Your certain technique and approach can not be mistaken and is VERY distinct, something an artist should naturally have. Do you do any other pieces like portraits and other forms of art, or do you keep a one set track to your own personal style? (Like nature meets fairytale/symbolic meaning and things of that sort.)

I love yours, too. Post some if you have any recent stuff. Click on the site below to see other things I have done, portraits, paintings, etc.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I primarily do this fantasy/surrealism illustration right now. I have done portraits a great deal in the past, but folks usually don't want to pay for your time in a portrait. I am very detailed.

Your work is amazing Ginger! I love checking them out and seeing all of the fine details you put in them. I really love your unique style of drawing, and I think you would be awesome at doing book illustrations. I could see your work in children's books like "Where the wild things are". That style of a book. It would be a perfect fit.

Here's a little gift I drew and framed for my girlfriend's cousins wedding.

I didn't get around to do much lately due to time, but I plan on working on a couple pieces. I'd actually like to take some time and map out and draw things worth while, not rushed like I have in the past. Here's a couple but I don't want to derail the thread. I'm a scratch artist and Ginger is top notch professional.

I only had time to do a skim through your stuff and I must say it's absolutley mind blowing, and I mean jaw dropping. That picture you drew of your husband is so unbelievably real and detailed that I thought it was a photo for a little while and it took me a good 10 seconds to realize it's a drawing. Just wow. I don't get how you don't work for a top notch agency and doing big big projects for god knows who.

I'll be checking out all your stuff when I get a chance to sit down and look, Ging :)

YoungJrny.........I love your drawings! I am glad you keep at it, sweetie I am 47 years old and I have been doing this a long time. Not to mention I had 6 1/2 years of college art. Keep at it, please. Find joy in creating! I have students who like the superhero project I do, but none of them do as nice a job as you have here.

Thanks for the kind comments. :D

Ginger, your art work seems to tell a story...have you thought about writing and illustrating your own books? I can see you doing children's books...I check out a lot of children's books at the library and most of the time I check them out for the artwork rather than for the story...love all the different styles out there. You're definitely very talented. :)

Thank you. I do have story ideas behind the pictures, but not complete. Someday I might write my own. I would love to someday work for a company like Disney and create creatures that are to be in movies. Maybe write a book of my own? I have so many ideas. I would just be happy to sell them as they are. They are very much a part of who I am. I sometimes agree with Georgia O'Keefe, sometimes selling them is like selling one of your children. But I am more willing to part with them if I know their owners will love them as I do. :D

I can, or I can paint a picture. I choose black and white for effect........the white touches the grey graphite and gives it a blueish quality.

Much appreciated, I will continue to create and hopefully learn along the way. Maybe even go to art school one of these days if the timings right and learn how to create out of the mind. :D

As for art CD covers Andrew suggested, I agree that would be somethin' to see. That would be a mighty fine project to get into. Would love to see an artist4perry Journey inspired cover. 8) 8)

Sigh. Gorgeous as always, GingerGirl.
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Hugs girl! I have fun. And a CD cover would be a fun project. When I was in high school, they "interviewed" me for the school paper and I said I wanted to make album covers for rock bands. Maybe someday I will! LOL! Life has a tendency to come full circle. What a marvelous ride it is.

Youngjrny.........you keep up now, promise me. I have a great book for Marvel comics. I will go into my study later and find the book and tell you the author and title of the book. It is what I use to get my students to understand the workings of comic book characters. This fall I will get my students to do that lesson again. They love it! I teach proportion of the body, how to get muscles drawn around a skeletal frame, how to put your drawings in gestured movements. Draw people posing in different positions. A comic book character should not be stiff. Get a buddy to pose and draw 5 minute sketches of the gesture or movement. I will pm you examples. This exercise will improve not only your ability to draw, but to make the movement of the drawing believable.
