I cant belive its been a year since I recieved the sad news of Marcel's death. I was in such shock and didnt want to believe it. I felt numb as I read Jeff's statement and had to read it 4-5 times and still coudnt understand what was going on. I was hoping it was still a bad hoax,,, but once I talked to Jeff the same morning and heard his broken voice, I knew our hero & brother was gone..... Yet it took me months to get used to the idea of Marcel being gone forever.... Out of habbit, I would once in a while go to MSN and send him a request to play a game of backgammon,,, but no "Challenge Accepted" from the other end...

I wont bore ya'll anymore,,, just want to ask you guys to take a moment and say a prayer for Marcel, while checking out one of the many great songs he wrote during his short time with us. Feel free to add your favorite Marcel/Talisman song

He was one of the best bass players I've ever heard, and I used to get off on making my bass-playing boss listen to him jamming in Talisman songs like the intro for "Mysterious", and then telling him there's no way he'd ever be able to play that riff. I outta do that again this week in remembrance.

What a loss, Marcel's right up there with my other faves, Rudy and Billy. Going to have to pour a glass of wine, put my feet up, and pull out Talisman's Worlds Best Kept Secret dvd sometime this weekend......
