Rumpus room is correct. It's defined as any indoor space designated for recreation for either children or adults or both. Basically a game room.

Deb, I'm in the same ageisphere as you and I thought Rumpus Room was a children's program!!
We called it a den/family room ...the formal rooms are living/dining
and the game room is the game room, no rumpusing going on in there ...I make
sure to have individual seating!! I like it, though ...I'm going to go home
and ask if anyone would like to join me in the RUMPUS Room!!
