To restrict that right because some of “their kind” are evil is what would be anti-American.
Good point!

I just think it's a huge mistake to show fear and hate and hurt!! The terrorists thrive on that!!! It's how they recruit more and more into their cause. Not every Muslim has the potential to be a terrorist or to want to fund it. I will never believe that. So many of them are victimized by their own governments and religious leaders everyday. I've watched a few things made by OUR media portraying this, but everyone is stuck on the negative media and what the terrorists want us to believe. They WANT us to hate them. They are winning.Saint John wrote:StevePerryHair wrote:If we are assuming THEY in the mosque are terrorists.....I don't think you can know that.
Fair point. But just follow the money ... it never lies. They virtually all "donate" (funnel) money to mosques and back "home." It is then used against us. Either that or they build more mosques to be able to hide behind closed doors and teach anti-American sentiments.

I don't really get the use of integers when responding to posts and never have, but they won't see it as a slap in the face ... they'll see it as a victory monument and place were they can go and bask in the shadow of America's darkest day on its own soil. But keep thinking they'll view it as a slap in the face!![]()

Saint John wrote:Agreed. But I think building a mosque there symbolizes the very fear you speak of ... like we have to go out of our way to great lengths to make sure we appease Joe Muslim. I say we tell him to pick a religion and not a set of practices, rituals and readings that promote the killing of all those that don't believe their psychotic bullshit. Either that or get the fuck out and go enjoy Mecca and/or Medina.
Saint John wrote:To their credit, terrorists seem quite cerebral and focused on one thing ... killing non-Muslims. I get that they use propaganda to further their cause, but it's not like they wouldn't find other material. Hell, they just need to read the Koran/Qur'an! The instructions to kill are right in there.

I'm just lucky to find a real news story mixed in with all the sleaze and skin. Very hypocritical station, trying to cater to the conservative, family values demographic but hocking the sleaze every chance they get. They know what sells and they'll take the money from any angle they can get it.

And still yet manage being a about 100 times better than MSNBC and CNN combined. That's not bad for commercially sponsored news. Usually we have to settled for the fairy tales that passes for stories in rags like the New York Times.

uh huh.Whatever. Go suck off Hannity.
Who cares if they are more popular than CNN and MSNBC combined? They have followers. people who are like Ditto Heads. Blind followers who get their talking points from O'Reilly, Hannity and the Beckster. Whatever floats their boat I guess. It's frankly pretty sad.
Rip Rokken wrote:They do suck. Of course I don't mind the conservative slant, because they'll play stories that the rest of the media bury. But watching or reading Fox News is still like walking thru a back yard chock full of dog crap. You can't get out of there without getting some on your shoes. Here was my first rant against Fox News 2.5 yahrens ago:

I'm 21 and a hell of alot more mature than half of you people in here.
Anyway, it does seem to be a very silly decision to put it there.
