Dude, that's not being open minded at all. Noone said anything about fairies or witches. I believe in spirit entity that channels off of ones energy to communicate through one another that left its bodies life form only because I've experienced activity that virtually is unexplainable to the close minded human being or simply to a being that never quite experienced it or doesn't allow themselves to believe it.
There is no proof that such entities exist and I'm not one to jump to conclusions and claim what is real and what is not but judging by the personal experiences I've had, I can honestly say that my awareness of the unknown is certainly one that I would be interested in studying since the process of elimination leaves you baffled when such things occur while others witness it as well.
Of course there are con artists out there that act as mediums and hold rituals to where they con people into what is called "cold readings." There is no doubt that "physic's" are out to make a big pay check but that does not necc. mean there are legit mediums out there that have experienced and progressed their findings the best way they possibly could whether it be sightings, recordings, EVP's and documenting.
Some EVP recording from curious people looking for answers. Very interesting if you could view this without opening yourself up to the possibility. Turn up the volume so you could hear.

A women is talking about a story involving someone who lose their life. At the end she says something about things being passed on to his mother. At the VERY end you hear a voice whisper "That's me."

This one is one of my favorites. A man lost his brother and wants to re-connect with him. At :58 seconds you hear a voice ask "Todd?"

Sleep paralysis. It's a common anatomical phenomenon. When lucid dreaming, they're pretty normal (and harmless)
And YoungJRNY, you seems like a smart guy. But I find your argument void of any reason when you say: "for those who wants to believe". Our brain is a magnificent organ, and any kind of, what you call paranormal activity or whatever, can rather easily be explained through knowledge of our mind - psychology. Remember dude, that to this day; no one has proved any kind of ghostly existence. Those who have tried, have been revealed as pseudo scientists or con men/women. None of them got no grasp over elemental physics, and try to explain their "findings" through words like energy, plasma, EM fields and so on. It's just retarded (and does not at all correlate to the laws of physics)
I'm with my man Einstein on this one!

do believe in angels. I believe that they are always here surrounding us, looking over us, protecting
us and comforting us in our darkest moments. I believe that when children are being abused and tortured,
angels wrap themselves around them and shield them from the pain until it's time to take them home
or they help to pull them through!!
I also believe that only the vunerable are able to see them ...there is nothing that can be said
here that will change this belief ...nothing!!!

Sometimes if I'm alone I'll hear noises that sounds like a whispered name but it's really quick, pitched enough to know it was a voice but not slow enough to actually make out the name. It's just a really, really, really quick whisper, almost like a hush. I've found myself hearing it in a split second like it's whispered directly into my ear and then looking around to see if my mind is playing tricks. Happened on way more than one occasion.

I do know this... MR personalities are like Marvel comic characters. You can kill them off, but with the right idea and story line they can be resurrected anytime.

YoungJRNY wrote:At a very young age, I was always open to the fact that ghosts and the paranormal of the after life indeed exist. I was always incredibly spooked out by that thought and because of that thought, I was always an open minded believer.
Even though the certain kind of skepticism is there due to the unexplained, the very thought of life after death is one of the most fascinating aspects to deep thought and the possibility of the after world.
With that said, it wasn't too long ago, to maybe around a year/ year 1/2 ago to where I experienced some unseen figure in my bedroom, staring down on me. I could not see anyone present as my room is small, but for one of the first times in my life, I KNEW someone was in the room and was creeped out by knowing something was indeed standing in front to the left of my bed watching me sleep. It's unexplained, but this presence was so powerful, that it kept me up for several upon several of hours and it made me feel very uncomfortable and petrified. The only thing I could really do was stare wide eyes in the direction to where I felt being watched. It literally felt like someone standing there as if you would be standing next to someone at a bank or so. The feeling of being watched was truly unbearable and felt the urge that if you turned around, someone would be standing there.
I've had maybe one of two, maybe three of those nights to where I've felt an unknown feeling I was being watched to where I wanted to get up only to want to look over my shoulder, but none of it happened recently.
Around the same time, one morning maybe around 6:00 A.M I woke up which felt to be a sense of being paralyzed. I couldn't move an ounce of my muscles and felt as if someone was laying on top of me so to speak. I tried moving my body but was unsuccessful. I could barely even open my eyes or talk but I was alert and knew I was scared and very much felt it. It lasted maybe about 40-50 seconds and it disappeared leaving me in an unexplained state of fear.
This happened once or twice after that but none recently or ever again. Due to my open mindless to the dead, there is no doubt in my mind that someone from the afterworld was present in my bedroom that night and morning.
I recently (literally 30 min ago) finished a book by Elaine Mercado named "Grave's End." I couldn't put the book down and found that she talks of many experiences where she felt someone on top of her within her sleep, feeling paralyzed and sometimes violated, something she called "smothering."
She described it to be very similiar to my small experience and I instantly made the terrifying connection and then came across other peoples experiences
About a year and a half ago, I was awoken in the night by a strong, warm breeze. I could not move and could not scream. It lasted about 30 seconds and was gone. I saw nothing. Last week it happened again. I was lying in bed and again was awoken. I felt a very strong force holding me down. I could not sit up. I tried to scream for my daughter and could not get any noise to come out. I tried to hit the wall with my arm and this force would not let me. It again lasted about 30 seconds and was over. I really don't believe in ghosts and didn't see anything at all. I am just really scared and confused.
Have you ever had a similar experience? The above incident is a classic example of what has become known as the "old hag" syndrome and is one of many such letters I receive from readers each month. The victims awake to find that they cannot move, even though they can see, hear, feel and smell. There is sometimes the feeling of a great weight on the chest and the sense that there is a sinister or evil presence in the room. And like the above reader, they are often quite frightened about what is happening to them.
The name of the phenomenon comes from the superstitious belief that a witch - or an old hag - sits or "rides" the chest of the victims, rendering them immobile. Although that explanation isn't taken very seriously nowadays, the perplexing and often very frightening nature of the phenomenon leads many people to believe that there are supernatural forces at work - ghosts or demons.
The experience is so frightening because the victims, although paralyzed, seem to have full use of their senses. In fact, it is often accompanied by strange smells, the sound of approaching footsteps, apparitions of weird shadows or glowing eyes, and the oppressive weight on the chest, making breathing difficult if not impossible. All of the body's senses are telling the victims that something real and unusual is happening to them. The spell is broken and the victims recover often on the point of losing consciousness. Fully awake and well, they sit up, completely baffled by what just happened to them since now the room is entirely normal.

About 5 months ago I experienced my touch light right next to me on my dresser turn on by itself. I saw it flick on through my eyelids and it actually woke me up. I looked at the clock and it was around 2:05 A.M. This never happened before, so I figured it was a malfunction with electricity of the touch light.
Around 2:15 that next night, it flicked on once more, but turning off, then turning RIGHT back on.
I was def. spooked and ran downstairs to tell my brother about what happened. I didn't turn it off or anything and when I returned upstairs the light was still on.
I took a pic of the light and sent it to my GF explaining what happened. It didn't flick on again until around 2 weeks later, while my gf slept over. Again, it was around the time of 2:00-2:30 A.M and woke me up. I actually had to wake up my girlfriend as well and show her that I wasn't crazy. She gasped and was freaked out, so I unplugged it. It didn't happen since. The time of occurrence to where it happened made me suspicious of the coincidence of timing of the light flickering. I had that lamp for 3 years and never experienced it to turn on and off like that on the dime or at the same time nightly.
I heard things like flickering of lights are family members of the deceased just saying hello. Many people who feel STRONGLY about ghosts and who had countless of run ins with them say spirits are energies of the dead that either haven't accepted the fact that they passed away, or are not aware that they are even dead.
My aunt will not SPEAK of Ouija Boards and won't allow one in her home. My mom always tells me stories about some crazy stuff that happened with her sister and the Oujia. They always said my aunt could channel spirits and always had a knack to have something happen in the house during anytime (things shaking, breaking, accessories being move, etc.)
Her daughter just gave birth to a new baby boy, and her 3 year old says he sees "the ghost man sitting the end of the bed" at night. I couldn't imagine a 3 year old even smart enough to know what a ghost man looks like. My aunt always asks him what the ghost man looks like and he never responds. Ironically, my other cousin when he was little (he's now 27) would always speak of a man sitting at the end of the bed with a hat and looking out the window. Friends claimed to see this as well if they slept over. My aunt strongly gets the presence that it's our grandfathers watching over the newborns in the family.
There was also an incident, where me, my brother and his gf were in the kitchen and heard my dog barking in the family room. We went to calm him down and he was sitting in front of my computer chair with noone in it, barking like someone was indeed sitting there. We all looked at each other and couldn't move the first thought that entered all of our heads was the unforeseeable.
I'll post some EVP's (Electric Voice Phenomena) of what some people captured of unexplained voices channeling from the other side tomorrow.

Yack yack yack! Stop your rambling, Teflon Lynn!
Evolution's amount of scientific funds and research that back it up, is so vast that to disprove of it is pure retardation. You can disprove however the existence of ghosts by physical limitations and laws that lays the foundation for everything in existence. Right now, the amount of real evidence pointing to the existence of God is 0. In fact, I'd call the amount to be rather <0 because of all the cons and quasi science that has continuously been disproved by real scientists. So from that, I come to the conclusion that ghosts do not exist. The probability for the existence of said entity is as big as the existence of Odin, Shiva, Fairies, Elfs or the easter bunny. It's called having a rational mind![]()
Quick note about ghost hunters:
Virtually all ghost hunter groups claim to be scientific, and most give that appearance because they use high-tech scientific equipment such as Geiger counters, Electromagnetic Field (EMF) detectors, ion detectors, and infrared cameras [and sensitive microphones]. Yet the equipment is only as scientific as the person using it; you may own the world's most sophisticated thermometer, but if you are using it as a barometer, your measurements are worthless. Even after two seasons and over ten years of research, they still have yet to prove that ghosts exist!
Just as using a calculator doesn't make you a mathematician, using a scientific instrument doesn't make you a scientist.[/quote
You will learn in time Parfait, that as you age, your not as brilliant as you think you are. God has science to back it up, lots in fact. I just won't waste my breath to explain it to you. You see you think your a know it all. Thus your mind is closed and the wasting of my time is all it would amount to. When you discover that the older you get the less you truly know in the vast sceme of things, and that daily you learn how wrong you were about the day before, is the day you become wise. That is why they do not equate wisdom with younger people in general..............their arrogence their knowledge, and they lack respect for others. Not all mind you. But you seem to lack a great deal of respect for people here who are sharing their thoughts. I am glad they are. Just because your too closed minded and narrow in your thought, does not mean we all agree with you..............or will. Nor does it make you always right. That only exists in your brain. Psudo reality as they say.![]()
