Anyone else NOT enjoying their summer?

Postby G.I.Jim » Mon Aug 02, 2010 7:34 am

Just curious. I don't know what the hell's wrong with me, but I've been in a serious slump for the last month. I haven't been posting lately (except the last couple of days), because I think I've just run out of stuff to talk about. It seems like we've hashed out every topic that could possibly be discussed. Nothing new to stir up interest here.

Andrew has been very cool, and has offered his help on our album, but I've all but given up on it. The project has had so many ups and downs, but it just seems like the whole thing has gone down the drain, and it depresses the shit out of me. Hell, I started to build a Facebook page the other day for Cold Heart, only to find that some country band has started using our name both there and on Myspace! When we picked that name, I searched the internet relentlessly for any band using it, and nobody had it. Oh well.

DAMN I need some good news to cheer my ass up right now. :?

There hasn't been much to enjoy. It's been too hot to spend much time outside and, when there has been time, it's been spent doing yard work.

It has been extremely hot here in SC for the last few weeks. Most days, we see triple digits. I haven't gone fishing at all this summer. :(

You're right Tom, I did. I apologize to you and everyone here. I thought it would be cool to include everyone here in the process of the cd, but I know in doing so, I DID talk about it too much. I enjoyed all of the feedback (good AND bad), but I should have limited the posts. Sorry.

If I could afford it, I might have taken you up on that offer. I sold my pontoon a few weeks ago (it was awesome), and I drove all the way to Florida and bought the biggest fucking lemon of a boat in existence! We wanted a ski boat, and I saw one online after a couple of weeks of searching and shopping. It's a Yamaha LS 2000 jet boat. Twin engines that crank out 270 horsepower. What could go wrong?

I saw a few of these boats that had sold around here for $9000- $10,000, and after seeing the one in Florida, I thought I got a steal for $7600. The interior looked amazing, and overall, the boat looked to be in really good condition. The owner was a real fucking con-artist that hid several things that were wrong with the boat. All in all, I've spent another $1000 (at LEAST) on the boat, and it still isn't working. I went on a test drive with the prick and everything, and he KNEW how to hide everything wrong with it. I was a fucking moron to buy that boat, and I'm now paying on a piece of shit that's sitting out there on the concrete. :?

Thanks. After more research, I found out that I financed $8500 (after I spent some money on repairs) for a $6500 boat. The trailer is in bad shape, the exhaust has a tear in it which causes one of the engines to choke itself out with fumes, I have to replace a motor mount, one of the tachometers has to be swapped out, etc...

There's more things wrong with it too, but I'm tired of thinking about it today. :(
