Isnt there alot of inbreding in Arkansas?artist4perry wrote:Everett wrote:I haven't had ac in two years ginger how do you think i feel?
No offense Everett, but you live in WI. I live in Arkansas. Imagine being in a giant Steam pot all day. We steam cook in the south. It is beyond hot.
The only time I wish to be back in CA is the summer. Well, extreme winter too.Come to think about it, if I won the publishers clearing house, or my art starts to take off, I would visit frequently. But I still love it here. My family is here.
This is where Dan and I met. He is from CA, but he chose to live here with me. He loves it here. But not in the summer. He hates the heat! More than me.
I am more used to it myself. I grew up here from the time I was 7 or 8 years old. I did not move away till I was 24. Then I returned in 2000 after my divorce.
I am sure it is hot there too, just a different hot.

I haven't been posting lately (except the last couple of days), because I think I've just run out of stuff to talk about. It seems like we've hashed out every topic that could possibly be discussed. Nothing new to stir up interest here.
Andrew has been very cool, and has offered his help on our album, but I've all but given up on it. The project has had so many ups and downs, but it just seems like the whole thing has gone down the drain, and it depresses the shit out of me. Hell, I started to build a Facebook page the other day for Cold Heart, only to find that some country band has started using our name both there and on Myspace! When we picked that name, I searched the internet relentlessly for any band using it, and nobody had it. Oh well.
DAMN I need some good news to cheer my ass up right now.

I was in NY for only 4 days and I not only complained like a pussy about the heat - I can't stand extreme heat - but I spoke more ghetto, rude and cursed like a sailor more than I normally do!![]()
I think the weather might be a factor, too much of something can overwhelm a person. I also think that being a creative person in a slump can be horrible. Having a shared band name can do it.
Keep your spirits up and try to laugh as much as possible. Watch films that make you laugh, hang around silly people, but try not to buy into that "slump" or that bit of Murphy's Law in reference to your pre-taken band name. Hang in there, my dear.

Thank you!I'm fine now... just needed a few days to collect my thoughts and get back to my happy place.
It will either work out for the band or it won't. If things don't come together soon, I'm just going to move onto something new, and refocus my efforts. If nothing else, you guys will hear my demos in here! I'm not trying to get rich, or be a rock star. I just like to write music, and I hope that I write songs that people like and can connect with.
