Yes, you can be stimulated in an arena too, and I give the guy points for passion. Not a Bruce hater he's got some great songs, but Brucey just doesn't do it for me. I can't get past the "taking a sh*t face/vocals". Now this is a perfect example of engaging a crowd also. i met him last week in our day jobs. we both laughed like hell we had a central purpose here. i got an interview lined up w/him in september and i got a lot of melodic rock to jam to.

i keep comin back to this place cause i love the music and the people here are just a bonus. : )

bought it tonight on itunes to make sure i could play it. pimping out this one show will be a good start. : ) would love to do a lot more for melodic rock cause that's where "my heart" really sits.

I've seen US crowds respond like that, but it is rare. At the same time, most live acts hold back a bit--which is one criticism you can't level at Springsteen. He leaves it all on stage, which audiences pick up on, and in turn, you get the reaction shown in that video. It's rare, but it does happen if you get the right crowd.

One of the few others I've seen live who occasionally gets to the point of looking like they are about to have a mental breakdown on stage (like Bruce in that concert) is Butch Walker. He doesn't have nearly the following, but his fans are diehard and small clubs tend to have a better atmosphere than a large arena most of the time.
