I have been very respectful, but when you play games with your words you lose credibility. Fight a good fight, but do it honestly. MLK was a great example, IMO.

As for moving on... when I'm ready, I will do just that. Thanks, boss.

Not the one playing games or playing ignorant. If you're trying to help, you have a very strange way of showing it. There is no compromise in equality, you're either equal or you're not. No word games there.

No, you're the one playing the 'victim' game. I called you out on your choice of words that were not accurate, just used to incite emotion. Life isn't fair, Bobby. "Equality" is an unachievable goal, someone will always feel infringed upon. (not saying it's right, just think it is reality). If it's an "all-or-nothing" scenario, then you might want to be prepared for nothing. IDK what will happen, but I know that tons of Americans are not on board with this... at this time.

Just for clarification, Bill Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act into law in September 1996, not some religious right-wing kook. Barack Obama publicly opposes same-sex marriage (and supports civil unions). Joe Biden publicly opposes same-sex marriage & supports civil unions. I'm not sure what to make of Hillary's views on it, she seems to be partially for it, and for repeal of parts of it. I have a feeling that these folks are really ok with this stuff, but they know that the overwhelming majority of the public is not. It's political and it sucks, but it's the game they have to play if they want to stay in the game.

http://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/user/scott ... inton.html

This is a very hot-button issue, one that will never be easily decided, at least not at this point in history. As I said, I wish you no ill will, but I am on here representing an alternative viewpoint to yours. I understand that you don't like that, and I don't blame you. Doesn't make it any less valid though.

I am the fuckin’ victim. I cannot marry the person I love. That’s discrimination and I’m the victim of it. You know, sometimes in your world of “conservative” thinking and all the other bullshit you and others spout and the names you call when you can’t win the argument, there is sometimes a true victim and every homosexual that is treated as a second class citizen is one. You represent hate for anything that’s different. You, a woman who some men think should never be allowed to speak in church, run for office and should sit home doing house work and raising kids. You’re a disgrace to equality and fairness and you are so fuckin’ wrong it’s hilarious.

You didn’t call anyone out, you played dumb. And I can go back and get the quotes if you need the proof. Is that what they teach you in “conservative” home schooling? LMAO!

Fuck your insincerity.

It doesn’t really matter if Americans are “on board” with this or not. The courts are now deciding it and it’s gonna be changed, and VERY soon. Why do you think this case ever got as far as it did? Do you think it was an accident? Do you think appointing the Supreme Court Justices Sotomayer and Kagan was an accident?

Our President said what he said to get elected, just as every President does. I have it on good authority he believes in same-sex marriage and so did Clinton, but in the end, they are still politicians and have to play the game. Only President Obama made sure to play it through the lower courts first with a genius judge who could write such an incredible ruling, that no other judge could find him at fault.

Here’s what you have to get used to, homosexuals getting married through Federal Law and living the lives they want to live instead of what’s dictated to them by bigots. Yes, life isn’t fair sometimes.

Everything you’ve written was said about women’s rights, Black’s rights and every other person who was mistreated and discriminated against because people weren’t “on board”. Fuck the people who aren’t on board. They don’t matter. The tyranny of the majority will never be allowed to rule the minority.

Next time you feel like reaching out, reach out to someone who won’t so easily catch onto your game. You’re lousy at it.

Here’s an idea, come out and say what you mean from now on instead of trying to play word games.

YOU CHOSE TO PLAY a VICTIM... you werent born into it... there is a HUGE difference... its not a race... its a LABEL... and the left has been working on this argument for at leats 40 years...

I was born into baby and unless you're homosexual you have no idea what you're talking about.

That isn't what was said. Victim, not gay.

What is the problem with the word "victim"? If a person is discriminated against, they are a "victim". How much clearer can that get?

Ok, this tangent of the discussion should be good for about 20 more pages.

I venture to say , not all, but probably half of all homosexuals more or less choose it as lifestyle. Just the same way some real homos like Parfait, choose to live as heterosexuals ;)

Carry on !

Go read a book, Dickleton!

You want to word that in such a manner as above?

1.) You're equating homosexuality to pedophilia.
2.) Your comparison suggests you think homosexuality is a deviant behavior or mental disorder.

...Just checking to see if you'd thought that post out.

Isn't it a mental disorder? Isn't that whole argument for being born that way?

Only if heterosexuality is too.

Being born a certain way in not necessarily indicative of a mental disorder.

I have green eyes. I was born that way. Not a mental disorder.

If anything, I attribute being gay to simply having a different hormornal system.... I read some studies on this at one point, some time ago... I struggle not to use the word "imbalance" because that implies a medical or physical disorder... point being, it's just what happens in physical devolpment, or to simplyfy... "they're born that way".

Everyone develops differently, and we all know this. Its a simple concept. Some of us are tall, some of need a ladder to do the dishes... some of us are Bs and some are double Ds... some of us prefer the opposite gender and some don't want their Tab A anywhere near slot B. Just the way it is.

Thank you, that was good. Most scieintists agree that homosexuals are indeed born exactly as we're meant to be. The only people who don't believe that are the ones who probably have the urge and "choose" to be heterosexuals because it's just "easier". LOL

I think it could best be described by saying it's a variation of normal. Meaning that it's not the way the majority is but it doesn't mean that it's abnormal.

I sort if agree with him to a degree Bobby. I wouldn't pick a percentage, but there is a part of society that may not be gay necessarily, but for one reason or another get involved in experimentation. Some may call it bisexuality. Bi-curious. Whatever. To me, it's more common in women to be involved this way. Sure some of them could be gay, but don't want to admit it. But I'd say some just think it's something fun. Like let's say your Lindsay Lohan. I can't say if she's gay or not, but she has had a gay relationship for a while. To me, she is one messed up girl looking for love anywhere she can get it, but who knows. I think these kinds of people make it tough for the truly homosexual people. Because they are there, shocking society, and that's who everyone sees. These people going back and forth unable to make up their minds. I don't believe every single gay person was born gay. But I defininitely believe a percentage of the population is.

That just sounds like a politically-correct way to tell someone they're not normal but that's only because we've changed the definition of normal and abnormal.

96% of all gay men are born that way...the rest just get sucked into it.

Now to the abnormal consideration...if a certain behavior is practiced by an overwhelming part of the population then that behavior could be termed normal, and any behavior that is opposite or different from that norm could be considered abnormal based on that standard. Does it really matter is the question?

I don't think in this instance it is.

Because they are there, shocking society, and that's who everyone sees. These people going back and forth unable to make up their minds. I don't believe every single gay person was born gay. But I defininitely believe a percentage of the population is.

I think sexuality can be very "fluid". I know a few people who are "bi-sexual", but it's not like they want to screw everything on two legs, they can fall in love with either gender. I don't think those people are very happy when all is said and done, because a desire for both genders means never really being satisfied.

Now of course there are opportunists, i.e., Ann Heche, who will fuck anyone for fame and fortune. But she is the exception, not the rule.

I hate to call you "StevePerryHair", but I don't know everyone real names, so, SPH, I guess it'll be. There are so many people in the heterosexual world that do things that shock society and everyone around them, but why is their extreme any more acceptable than the bi-sexuals or homosexuals?

When all is said and done, we all usually pick and mate and we settle. I don’t find women repulsive by any means, but I could never see myself having a relationship with one, and I’m sure you know what I mean. It would be like any man that calls himself “straight” on these forums forcing himself to be with another man. Most of them could probably get the motor going and some would enjoy it, but their hearts would never be in it and it would mean nothing more than masturbation means.

Kinsey said there was a scale, 0 to 6

0 Exclusively heterosexual
1 Predominantly heterosexual, only incidentally homosexual
2 Predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual
3 Equally heterosexual and homosexual; bisexual.
4 Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual
5 Predominantly homosexual, only incidentally heterosexual
6 Exclusively homosexual
X Asexual, Non-Sexual

I think it’s a great chart and probably more truth to it than anything represented by other scientists.

However, what I don’t like is the idea of people saying that “half” the gay population chooses to be that way, because if that were true, you’d think at least one of my friends would feel that way, but all my gay friends are gay and have been all their lives. Now the straight ones, once they get around us at parties, that Kinsey scale can really get worn out. LOL

That just sounds like a politically-correct way to tell someone they're not normal but that's only because we've changed the definition of normal and abnormal.

Normal is subjective. What is normal for me might not be normal for you and vice versa.

However, I can't imagine anyone wanting to define themselves as "normal". It's so fucking boring.

Are you saying he chose to be gay?

Ok, this tangent of the discussion should be good for about 20 more pages.

I venture to say , not all, but probably half of all homosexuals more or less choose it as lifestyle. Just the same way some real homos like Parfait, choose to live as heterosexuals ;)

Carry on !

Exactly when did you choose to be heterosexual?
No, Bobby ...I understand what he is saying here.
Not all bisexual/gay people were born that way, they chose that lifestyle, for now, because it's viewed as
cool, by some ...Do you think Lindsey Lohan is really gay/bisexual?!? I don't, I think she views her "gaydom" as an
attention grabber ...and that Ronson girl was used!! :?

Parfait isn't gay ...he's black, for now, because that's viewed as cool too!!

I think the ones that "choose" to play are just testing the waters baby, they are either bi-sexual or on the train to gay town. But see my reply to StevePerryHair. I kinda agree with fluid sexuality, but I'm 44 years old and have never met a person who "chose" to be gay.

This is what the American Bar Association had to say about the ruling.

"With this action, the American Bar Association has affirmed the principles upon which this nation was founded—that every American is vested with certain inalienable rights and that all Americans are created equal. The ABA’s action is significant in that it represents a broad consensus among scholars and practitioners of the law. The ABA is the nation’s leading legal organization and is the one charged with recommending judges and setting national standards for attorneys. This case is not about ideology or politics, and the ABA’s resolution underscores that. Rather, Perry v. Schwarzenegger is a case grounded in fundamental constitutional law and precedent, including equal protection under the law and due process. By approving a resolution in support of marriage equality, the ABA has confirmed what the federal courts, the state’s chief executive and the state’s chief law enforcement officer have determined in Perry v. Schwarzenegger—that excluding gay men and lesbians from marriage violates their constitutional right to due process and equal protection and causes significant harm to them and their families."

I doubt any judge or jury could find any reason to deny equal marriage for all.

That's one of the dumbest things anyone could possibly say. I'm probably considered normal in some things and not so normal in others. Doesn't matter to me in the slightest if it's boring or not and if anyone thinks something is boring just because it's "normal" then they probably have some issues to deal with.

I'm ok with equal rights being afforded to gays and non-gays, but they need to change the terminology of the two, considering one is pro-family and procreation, and the other isn't. I would be ok with "Natural marriage" (for heteros) and just "marriage" (for gays).
