Bear with me on this one. Why is every nice, sweet, beautiful girl I run into dating some prick who treats them like shit. Then guys like me are left hanging out to dry.

That's my biggest problem, the "bad boy" is the total opposite of my personality. I'm more of a shy geek. All those cute sweet girls look at me like I'm a creepy stalker or something. They have no idea hard it is for me the "break the ice".

There's no one type to be in order to be successful with the opposite sex, and there's no one type to "avoid"... There's plenty of shy guys who are creeps and treat their ladies like shit too... and there are also plenty of girls who don't like the bad boy type.

A girl that's worth it won't care about your shyness or geekiness. Don't worry about being shy or quiet ... worry about being a good guy and treating people well and you'll be fine. If a girl looks at you a certain way or judges you without knowing you, is that really a girl you'd want to be with?

 ...bigfoot!!!
bottom line ...while young, many girls go through this, not all...it's just the way it is!!! I'm a girl and I have girls ...I coach cheerleaders,
I see it day in and day out ...I do try to warn them, but they grow out of it in their own time!!! This in no way means they're hopeless!!!
some of them learn, eventually!!!

Untrue! There are definitely types to avoid.

Not what I meant... my point was about making generalizations without getting to know at least something about the person, not what you "think" they are.

OK, but I think he's stuck on the before getting to know them point.

Exactly. I never really know what to say. I always worry about saying something really stupid. It seems like in my neck of the woods you don't talk to them unless they speak to you first.

It's all about confidence, dude. Stop putting girls on some pedestal though - they're not that special. If everything fails, you can always order some girl from Thailand or Ukraine. :)

Don't listen to that shit about "waiting around for your special one" or whatever. That's just retarded.

How about Hi! I'm ...just wanted to introduce myself. Then just carry on with whatever happens.

What say the women?

Geez, that's pretty good, 78!! I'm not a good one for answering these questions, I talk to brick walls!!
And personally, I like shy people ...they let me talk, a lot!!

I admit confidence is something I definitely need to work on. I'm just really frustrated, being single kinda sucks.

Confidence. Look like you have confidence. Be confident. Fake nothing except that one thing...
