I'm with you, Bobby ...I think she's gorgeous and that voice, geeeesus!!
They sang some of the stuff off of their Red Velvet Car Album last time I saw them ...good stuff!!

Ann Wilson could weigh 500 pounds and she'd still have that beautiful face and that voice from the Gods.

Yeah, I never cared what a singer looked like, but I know many do (for whatever reason), I just want 'em to entertain me and sing their guts out.

The album is out the end of this month. I think it's gonna be a great one.
I think she does weigh about 500 pounds

If you could sing like that, I wouldn't care if you weighed 500 pounds.

That song blows and I know the band doesn't like it. The record company basically made them do that song. Terrible message to that song as well.

more info on that tune....

n the liner notes of Heart's album The Road Home, Ann Wilson commented on the band's dislike for the song, stating, "Actually we had sworn off it because it kind of stood for everything we wanted to get away from. It was a song by "Mutt" Lange, who we liked, and it was originally written for Don Henley, but there was a lot of pressure on us to do the song at the time."[1]

Many people loved that song and I'm sure it made the Wilson sisters a few more bucks.

I honestly don't see that much wrong with it, it was a story song and cheesy, but I love cheese. :-)

Though I grew up on the commercialized Heart of "S/T" and after, this is a really good track. Big time throwback to the Barracuda years. If there are more tracks like WTF on the upcoming album, I'd definitely consider picking it up.

I keep hearing the album is amazing from all the Heart fans I know who've heard it. Face it, even at their worst, Heart is still better than 95% of the current shit out there. So, I'm buying it and probably a few copies to share.

I saw them in 2008 with Journey. They were fanfriggintastic. Ann hasn't lost a thing in her voice at all. She sounds every bit as good as she ever has. If not better.

Yeppers .... it was about a billion degrees in San Antonio (kinda like now) and Ann had on a velvet coat; don't know how she could breathe much less belt it out like she did... I loved that tour. :D

I remember it was 108 in Dallas that day. A hundredandfriggineight! Smirnoff, or whatever it is now had these humongous ceiling fans, and it wasn't bad at all. I bet the bands were dying though.

:edit: And that video you posted... Reign O'er Me, blew me away. Ann is one of, if not THE best female rock singer of our time.

I think I had consumed enough antifreeze at that one that I don't remember it being that hot. Or much else, for that matter. Except the tipped over port-a-potty in the parking lot. Oh, and getting lost in the 'hood, despite Rip's ubiquitous GPS.

Rip's GPS isn't usually the problem, darlin'... its Rip's simultaneous Dokkenizing of his passengers distracting him from doing what the GPS is trying to tell him to do that gets a little bit in the way of things.

We were trying to caravan; Rick had made the airport run with Rhi; Rip had Mel and Lynn in his car; Mimi had the rest of us drunks in the Mimimobile (plus the Wind Wienie); somehow we ended up taking the WRONG exit despite Rip assuring Gayle via cell phone that it was the right one, according to the GPS. It all turned out okay, but there was lots of cussing going on. Fun times; I miss Journey summer tours ...

I damaged my car on that airport run. There was a big pot hole that I didn't see, and now my car goes "Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding" for about 5 minutes and then it stops. It still does that to this day.  I had already dropped Rhi off, so she missed that fun.

I totally love that album, though it's one of their most commercial. But that's the Heart sound I grew to love, ya know? This new song didn't grab me, and I didn't really care for the video either. I thought Ann sounded rough and like she was pushing it too hard. Was it a live vocal?

Right there with ya Rip, this songs does nothing for me.

If anyone has heard the Dreamboat Annie (live) CD..you know that Ann's voice is serviceable, although not quite 'there' enough to attempt songs requiring the high voice..i.e. Magic Man, Sing Child...etc. those songs were tuned WAY down, and her voice was pitchy, and cracking all over the place....
