Good Lord, even Joe Theismann thinks Tebow should have retired.

http://www.mkrob.com/joe-theismann-says ... -football/

“Obviously at Florida they don’t teach throwing the football,” Theismann opined in explaining that Tebow’s mechanics are “poor.”

Crikey!!!! Maybe Tebow should send that Theismann Trophy back!

Poor? The dude isn't a QB whatsoever. He's a glorified fullback who played in a gimmick style offense at Florida. ** Fake gut, Run the ball. Give Ball. Fake gut, run the ball. Fake option, run the ball. Give ball. Fake option, run the ball. Pitch. Pitch. Keep, run the ball. Fake gut, keep ball. Option. Fake option, run ball**. Tebow run offense in a nutshell.

I don't agree with Theisman on pretty much anything. The dude is possibly the worst announcer in football and screws up more times than he gets something right, but anyone who has ever watched Tebow for what he really is could come to a standpoint instantly that he isn't that great of a quarterback who throws the ball downfield and his mechanics are F.U.G.L.Y. I just think playing one silly QRT in a preseason game and the dudes already hurt thinking this is the University of Florida. I get he's poss the best college player to play the game, but if you're going to hype the guy up to be Superman or literally Jesus, then this is the kind of criticism that comes when he isn't that great of a QB to begin with.

BTW: I don't think ANYONE is here to egg anyone on. Angel said it perfectly in another thread. "It's clearly a Tebow thread, stay out of it then."

Even Superman doesn't like Tim Tebow.

Spot on man. I had to look at a new "Florida Gators RULE!" thread seemingly every other day and had to hear about how Tim Tebow is the most perfect person since Jesus himself the entire season - and then when they finally lose a game, nobody can say anything about the game without being "classless." Not even make fun of anyone who's a Florida fan. Just simply discuss the game.

No you didn't...there was the NCAAF thread and this thread that had anything to do with the Gators and neither of them were even started by Tim so lay off....he'll be here when he's ready and he'll be ready to take on all of you Gator Haters....

I have always liked Tim. I just want that fucker to show up so he can take a good old fashioned verbal sports beatdown, as is privilege for sports fans. Plus, this is MR ...

This is the fun in sports... I used to love trashing my buddies about the Steelers and havin them rib me back for the awfulness that is the Browns. It's all in good fun, even for diehards

It's the natural system of checks and balances around here. Someone pumps something up too high, someone comes in to knock it down. As long as it doesn't get hateful or personal, it's pretty good fun. Hey, I am truly a hardcore Dokken fan, but I get the shtick too and roll with all the punches that get thrown at me. I actually egg it on because I enjoy the sparring and the abuse it invites, LOL. That said, I didn't create the Tebow threads specifically to hurt Gator, because I like the guy just fine. I did create them to counter some of the media's lionization of Tim Tebow, sure. If Gator and Angel are the main Tebow Kool-Aid drinkers out there, then I guess they'll be the ones to react. But it's really nothing against either of them. I saw the article and read it. Tim Tebow gets on a personal nerve of mine all by himself, without any help from his fans.

Man, I've said many times before that music is nothing to fight about -- neither is sports. But having a fun debate should always a good time, unless people take those subjects too seriously. If that's the case, maybe they need to consider a few things. Anyway, if anyone is taking it too personally, I apologize. My guess was Gator would be in here countering right off the bat, but I guess that's not going to happen and that's ok. I like you too Angel, but you're really not helping any guy out by running defense for them. That would be like me sending some chick in here to defend Don Dokken. Not that I could find any, really. Not after Don's broken their heart and blamed it on them in a song anyway.

Rip,
you've got way to much time on your hands. Go outside and play.

I wasn't defending Gator in any way, shape or form, I just find it interesting that you are trying so hard to bait him.

Actually, that was the plan today and I'm on my way out. It's been an extremely hot summer though, and I've stayed out of the heat as much as possible.

I'm not trying to bait him or anybody else at all. I thought he'd be interested in the topic, but it's totally cool if he's not. Defending him or not though, you're definitely giving at least me the impression you're speaking for him and I guess I can't relate to that. It's ok though.

LOL, why do you keep seeing some sinister motive here? There is none. It's always good to hear from the 'Gator! He's totally cool with me. When you come in and post something like that, you ain't helping anyone. BTW, I never thought Tim was telling you what to say. I just think when people start speaking for other members it runs the risk of creating problems where they don't exist. Anyway, point made and I'm moving on.

First off PERFECTLY SAID RIP and second off.. any man with a vagina.. check yourself out of these threads. Everyone always has to act like someone is out to get them and they play victim. Noone was trying to bait Gator. To my understanding, Tim Tebow doesn't play football for the Florida Gators any longer. He plays for the Denver Broncos so getting all defensive like we are out to bait Gator is just being a wuss and acting like we are attacking all of Gator Nation or something. Baby Blue and Angel always make it about anyone having a personal agenda to attack and bait Tim when that's clearly not the case, only in the figment of their own imaginations.

Every one of us has taking the ribbing quite verbally and was thrashed at one point or another. Me and Matt had a nice exchange of text messages last night, haha.

Anyway, where the hell is Enigma? Does this dude still roam? I miss his hatred for every-man on Earth. Pretty funny that he said this:
Enigma869 wrote:If you're going to run your mouth endlessly on this forum, then man the fuck up and take your lumps when you get kicked in the teeth. At the end of the day, nobody died. It's only a football game, and life will go on.

and then permanently leaves because I picked the Pats to go 10-6 under Brady and it happened and I ribbed him for it. CALLING JFB!

You guys are the ones that are blowing this way out of proportion. All I said is that it was clearly an attempt to bait someone-most likely Gator but could have been me or one of a few other people. I couldn't care less what you-or anyone thinks of Tebow.

Rip you keep bringing up the fact that if someone started a silly thread about Dokken you'd laugh it off. I'm sure you would but if it was someone, like myself, who really doesn't know anything about Dokken or his music but started a thread about him, wouldn't you find that a bit odd?

Now, as I suggested eariler, go outside and play.

Huh? We are blowing it out of proportion for you coming in and taking offense and playing the bait card? Obviously it's you who's blowing it out of proportion because if you wouldn't of chimed in with all of these defense mechanisms, then we wouldn't be discussing this, now would we? ;)

Rip you keep bringing up the fact that if someone started a silly thread about Dokken you'd laugh it off. I'm sure you would but if it was someone, like myself, who really doesn't know anything about Dokken or his music but started a thread about him, wouldn't you find that a bit odd?

So, what you're saying is, since you know so much about Tim Tebow (the Dokken reference) because you obviously live in Florida, that YOU find it a bit odd that a thread was started about him by someone who doesn't know much of him (referencing Rip.) So this statement
I couldn't care less what you-or anyone thinks of Tebow.
completley is thrown out the window since everyhing you've just said clearly states that you DO care what people think about Tebow because he's obviously your football god. 8)

Now, as I suggested eariler, go outside and play.

What does going outside and playing have anything to do with it? If RIP does go outside and does decide to play... say quarterback, he would be better at it than Tebow. Haha (The baits on!) :)

No, I wouldn't find it odd at all. In fact, the only people who could ever make fun of Don Dokken are the ones who aren't familiar with his music. It's never too late to start! I'll help you.

If you still feel "baited", it's most likely like Trav said, simply a fig newton of your imagination. An invisible piece of cheese loosely attached to a non-existent mousetrap. I've felt the same way before.

I hope they sit his ass for a year... cause the way he currently plays will guarantee he'll have a short career.. he needs to sit and learn to avoid 350lb linemen not try and run through them...
