Apparently not, those days seem long behind him. We'll see though. Maybe Ben could give tips to Tebow after the game on how to french kiss a woman, and maybe a thing or two about winning NFL Championships.

Nah, Steelers travel to Denver next week in the 3rd preseason game (which is pretty much treated like the ultimate get ready game 3 for the regular season since starters won't be playin that 4th preseason game.) Not sure if Tebow is playing because of his ribs, but he should. He'd be going up against our 4th stringers, which doesn't translate into TOO much excitement. 8)

LOL -- that's what happens when I try to assemble fajitas with my right hand and post from an iPhone with my left. Ever since the iPhone 3.0 upgrade, it jumbles up the text in the compose window in portrait mode, so I have to to do in in landscape with only 2 visible lines. Maybe I need an iPad. :)

I'm talking about T-Bowl, btw... she probably got tired of waiting for him, if he really did keep her waiting. I'm somehow seriously doubting the Holy Spirit brought her into his life.

I just did some digging around and it turns out she was never his girlfriend. She's an English model named Lucy Pinder. Sounds like the rumors just started flying after they got their picture taken together.

Image

Wait a sec! Turns out the chick from those particular pics we all saw was a co-ed named Erin Drewes, and she's been mistaken for Lucy Pinder, too. No wonder -- they look like they came off the same assembly line.

Image

Then there's some American Idol finalist named Janell Wheeler...

Image

You know T-Bowl has to know any pics he takes with these chicks are going to get plastered all over the Net and start rumors. Methinks he's milking them for all their worth.

Surprise, surprise. Looks like Erin Drewes capitalized on her T-Bowl photo and posed for Playboy with T-Bowl body paint. The Lord would be proud, T-Bowl!

Image

The full story with an interview with her is here: http://www.playboy.com/articles/girlwat ... tml?page=2

Turns out those first two photos, one with her and T-Bowl and the one of the chick in the bikini weren't the same person. Lucy Pinder was the bikini chick, hence the confusion.

Some great stuff in that interview, btw...

GIRLWATCHER: A lot of attention was paid to your breasts, which are prominent in the photo—do you think the commentary went over the line?
ERIN: I had to ignore the commentary. You never want to hear things said like that about you and some of it was hurtful. I'm convinced the picture must have been photoshopped—my breasts certainly are not that big!

GIRLWATCHER: Have you spoken with Tim about this? What does he think?
ERIN: I spoke to him briefly when it first came out. He didn’t think anything of it though. I am sure he gets crazy stories written about him all the time. He must be used to it.

Is that Mother Teresa quote supposed to be inspirational? On the surface it kinda sounds a little self-serving. But I dug deeper and maybe she says that because she didn't really come to know the joy of her faith. Sounds like she actually doubted quite a bit and only identified with the suffering. That would be a damn sad way to live. Interesting article:

Letters Reveal Mother Teresa's Secret
Book Of Iconic Nun's Letters Shows She Was Tormented By Her Doubts In Her Faith

CBS) In life, Mother Teresa was an icon — for believers — of God's work on Earth. Her ministry to the poor of Calcutta was a world-renowned symbol of religious compassion. She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

In a rare interview in 1986, Mother Teresa told CBS News she had a calling, based on unquestioned faith.

"They are all children of God, loved and created by the same heart of God," she said.

But now, it has emerged that Mother Teresa was so doubtful of her own faith that she feared being a hypocrite, reports CBS News correspondent Mark Phillips.

In a new book that compiles letters she wrote to friends, superiors and confessors, her doubts are obvious.

Shortly after beginning work in Calcutta's slums, the spirit left Mother Teresa.

"Where is my faith?" she wrote. "Even deep down… there is nothing but emptiness and darkness... If there be God — please forgive me."

Eight years later, she was still looking to reclaim her lost faith.

"Such deep longing for God… Repulsed, empty, no faith, no love, no zeal," she said.

As her fame increased, her faith refused to return. Her smile, she said, was a mask.

"What do I labor for?" she asked in one letter. "If there be no God, there can be no soul. If there be no soul then, Jesus, You also are not true."

"These are letters that were kept in the archbishop's house," the Rev. Brian Kolodiejchuk told Phillips.

The letters were gathered by Rev. Kolodiejchuk, the priest who's making the case to the Vatican for Mother Teresa's proposed sainthood. He said her obvious spiritual torment actually helps her case.

"Now we have this new understanding, this new window into her interior life, and for me this seems to be the most heroic," said Rev. Kolodiejchuk.

According to her letters, Mother Teresa died with her doubts. She had even stopped praying, she once said.

The church decided to keep her letters, even though one of her dying wishes was that they be destroyed. Perhaps now we know why.

Tim Tebow has always been his own worst enemy. The guy knows where the camera is and when to showboat. Leadership isn't always about running around like you're on meth pumping everyone up. Sometimes it's about being a calm, relaxing force and letting your play speak for itself. Respect in the NFL is earned slowly, and being irresponsible and acting like a lobotomized wrestler probably only got him laughed at and earned him less trust. But, I suspect he's smart enough to figure this out on his own, eventually.

Absolutely. The only problem I had is that he certainly had his own personal agenda always pumpin his own ego with all of his smiles and getting praised by every media circuit for juicing his leadership by hulking out after every first down and and always being refereed to by literally being a football Saint and being as soft hearted as the Pillsbury Dough Boy by always smiling and singing the Gator Anthem that melted hearts and curing world hunger after a VICTORY.

But as SOON as he walked off the field, crying and not being apart of congratulating 'Bama after the Gators experienced a beatdown loss showed the dude's true colors by not holding up to his reputation by showing the respect of the team opposite side of you. Tebow showed he's no different than anyone else and manipulates the media like a two-way mirror using his own legend to beef up his own image. Getting the attention for being the greatest human being to walk the Universe next to Jesus is going to open himself up to the over exposure of skeptic fans like myself while evaluating his QB play on field, which isn't impressive.

I'll give him a shot though. Put his money where his mouth is and if he finds a place for himself in the NFL, I will be the first to eat my words and feel nothing but respect for the dude and that someone can admire. It's all about showing it in the NFL. He's got to prove himself no matter what he did at Florida.

People like this are pretty easy to figure out. Bill Clinton was the same way -- he was an attention Salt Vampire who needed the constant admiration and adoration of the public just to keep going. Take T-Bowl out of the spotlight and sports pages long enough, and you'll find where his natural high and smiles were really coming from. Those types often crash pretty hard when they're not winning or commanding center stage anymore, but they often find a way to drag themselves out of the darkness and milk a new round of media attention for redeeming themselves. Seen the story 1,000 times, and if it happens to him they'll undoubtedly compare it to the resurrection. It's a play straight out of the media manipulation handbook.

Just watched it and I thought he had a really nice game for a rookie. Made a few nice passes, missed a few he probably should have completed, but he an all-around nice game.

Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

I will say i love my bama team ROLL TIDE ALL THE WAY. He should have said great game guys or whatever & not just walk away.He should have man uped on that.
